Guess... its a back to back against a great team. Relax. We aren't going 81-1.

It is obvious this team needs depth. Our back up situation is poor to say the
least at every position

Lets get a few things straight. Black and Papa probably wouldn't play for most playoff projected teams. D-mo is straight garbage. We need to make major changes to the depth of this team.

 

How about we rest harden and harden?

Yes he does this the best two quarters of basketball the Grizz have played all season long. I sure they will get back to normal in the second half and the Rockets will be have a chance to catch up.

Use Dwight like the Jazz did with Mark Eaton many moons ago (defensive specialist). Let him be an opportunistic scorer instead of feeding him in the post. Move the ball around more as a team. Get everyone involved. Just try something different.

 

its still early in the season, not a time to panic, nor is it the time for fire X, trade Y or Z is trash.

We have had a relatively easy starting schedule, so a wake up call from a top tier team is probably a good thing in the long run, especially for us fans, who for the past couple of weeks have been overly excited about this time, especially our defence (harden?). its gives us the chance to see our weaknesses. People were claim Papa being great, Black being incredible players last week. A game like this really puts our team to the test and allows our management to properly evaluate our players, especially the younger 'talents'.

 

This is what happens when you fill your roster with border league talent who are 1 dimensional tho.

The team just looks inferior tonight. I'm sure they're worn out from last night, but we don't have the talent they have coming off the bench. So when our starters play poorly we're screwed.

The offense as a whole is just terrible too. It's not so much the lack of movement that bothers me, but more how the Rockets are looking like they have no idea what to do other than dump it down to Dwight repeatedly - which seems like a terrible idea when he's matched up against the type of guys Memphis has.

 

the problem is Harden has 3 shots, in a HALF!!!!!!!!!! he should be the only one shooting and the offense should be designed to get him open. no more contested threes or Dwight post ups

 

You say "relax"... then acknowledge that 3 key rotation players are hot garbage that should be replaced.

That's not that easy to do.

It is one game, no matter what it is one game.

The bigger issue is if this lead continues...how do they respond? Do they come back and win on Wednesday and get some more Ws? Do they start to look better like they did at the start of the season?

This was a hard game to win, going to Memphis after a football game, and playing a team that is on a 19 game win streak at home.

Rockets are going to have to dig deep in this game. Harden and Howard are going to have to have an amazing 2nd half to get this thing together.

 

Or they missed open shots.

 

I know Darrell likes to be cheap when it comes to his bench players but damn we have no real big man to backup Dwight Howard no playmakers on the bench and nobody is a versatile scorer. Even James Harden is only good for shooting 3 pointers or driving to the rim.this team need some kind of diversity everybody can't be a three point shooter only because do i Howard is not a competence center on offense

 

The way this team has played last three games has me focused on MNF.

 

gimmick? shoot 3's, low post scores... orlando ****ing carried that into the finals
