Keep chucking Kobe. Gotta love it. You'd need a court order to get the ball from him at this point. To be fair, I would pass to any of those castaways either

Seems like the only notable person in LA who's calling out Kobe's selfish play is Horry. Gotta love him for his honesty and not being afraid to say it like it is.
Who isn't? It doesn't change the fact that the team is littered with bums outside of Ed Davis and Jordan Hill
That's the biggest problem with the "Kobe has no help argument" for chucking. The Lakers are a bad team, but for all the criticism of how "Kobe has no one to pass the ball to that could score", there are 9 other Lakers with a better FG% than Kobe. They might not be capable of creating a shot for themselves, but the idea that he can't pass them the ball because they wouldn't hit the shot doesn't really work when Kobe is shooting worse than them.
He'll at least get the full year no matter how bad they are because of his Laker status. I wouldn't want Scott to coach the Rockets, but I don't think he's a bad coach. I think if some superstars fell into his lap we'd suddenly hear about how he's one of the league's top coaches (a la Doc Rivers). With that said, I don't see that happening. Lakers will be garbage for the foreseeable future, unless something truly bizarre and illogical happens - like KD wanting to go to LA (or, even worse: Harden wanting to go to the Lakers after his current contract since he's from LA and grew up a Lakers fan).

I cant answer the "Why kobe chucks" question for you. No one has been able to for the last two decades+. I only wanted to clarify the "crime" that he was observing and talking about.
Sorry, but anyone who doesn't understand the importance of the 3P shot and defending against it doesn't deserve to be an NBA head coach. Granted the Lakers have had the toughest schedule so far based on opponent results against other teams and they have very limited talent but coaching or the lack of it is a problem too.
