I don't know why you would think that looked like it was actually in Houston. It looked like a generic corner in Anywhere, USA with a clearly CGI sign saying "Texas BBQ".

They haven't committed to really going anywhere until this foiled D.C. mission. Agreed. I probably laughed the hardest in this episode at how lazy they were in suggesting the scene took place in Houston.
I'm surprised it's only been just over 500 days. I thought it would at least be four years, seeing how we've seen the show take place during the summer and winter in each of the previous four seasons.
Yeah, I know. I was wondering why everyone was just going along with it and not calling BS. Maybe it would have been believable if he was a really good con man, but he just sounded like an idiot.

Well, I don't think he was lying when he said he was smarter than everybody else. Liar? Yes. Idiot? No.
You have to also try to empathize for people living in a world like this. The HOPE alone of a positive end to this mess would make a Eugene-scenario such an easier pill to swallow and, if not believe, just hope that there's a chance help is possible.
Judging by the lack of conversation I'm guessing everyone felt the same way I did about this episode. A very "meh" episode.
this episode didn't really advance the story, it's just catching us up on what happened... don't these type of episodes pretty much always generate the meh response? i thought it was overall a decent episode. and it looks like next week will finally move the story line somewhat forward, although we probably still won't be caught up to the glenn, maggie, abraham story. leaves me wondering if the groups will be back together at the mid season break in two weeks.
Meh... a few good scenes but it sets up another bethisode which will likely be sub-meh. Hopefully the last episode will step up and include the main groups (Rick's group, Glenn/Maggies group). At least Talking Dead was a good one...
The best Talking Dead episodes seem to always include Yvette Nicole Brown and CM Punk. YNB explains the show better than the showrunners.
Agreed... the show would be better if she had a permanent seat on the couch (versus the occasional clunker guest). Have her, the celebrity fan guest, and the show representative (actor, producer, director) guest.
i don't like the iso episodes, feel they take away from what needs to be done or it could be the characters they run the isos for I care very little about. it was good performance by carol though.
