I'm not sure how/why y'all are interpreting Canaan not playing as him being on the trade block. It was the same w/ AB last season up until he got moved --

    1. Lin or Bev go down.
    2. AB gets minutes and plays well.
    3. Lin or Bev return.
    4. AB is re-glued to the bench until another injury occurs.

The game will be played out the exact same way. It's not like Memphis is an offensive juggernaut but they are defensively.

I think McHale was trying to win the game. He did.

Terrible game from the Rockets, decent defense but this is the 28th ranked offense we are talking about here with OKC.

Dwight missed a couple bunnies where I wish he would just look to dunk it. And his free throw shooting really concerns me - significantly worse than last season.

Harden's shooting woes continue but HUGE shot down the stretch, was the difference in this one.

Surprised Canaan didn't see any time after his improvement, not sure if he's better than Terry though all things considered. Still thought he should have gotten some time.

Ariza had a good game, some tough drives for big buckets in the first half and a big three in the 4th.

Beverley... ya gotta love him, all I can say.

Motiejunas made some really terrible plays out there tonight, sometimes I have no idea what he's thinking out there. He's a terrible shooter and keeps jacking 3s at will, sort of reminds me of Josh Smith jacking threes, he's terrible at it but somehow is allowed to do it and remain on the court. The dude is shooting 20% from 3, he shouldn't shoot another one all year lol.

We desperately need Jones back from an offensive perspective. DMo isn't effective outside of 10 feet and considering how soft he is he isn't exactly reliable inside 10 feet either. Or offense has been declining hard since he's been out.

When you make it easy to score the other team makes it easy to score. When you contest every shot/layup, get back in transition, and boxout for every rebound the other team does the same thing. Just like our individual cells are copied by the cells around it you see the same thing in sporting events. The Rockets used to dare teams to shoot sometimes and they did the same. Now everything is contested.

Harden really improved his defense. I watched only him few times, he was chasing his man really hard. Proof that defense is so much about volition.

I love that on a night when DMo grabbed 7(!) offensive boards, all people can say about him is that he sucked shooting the 3. In case you didn't notice, the entire team sucked at that tonight. But those extra possessions and second chance points really made a difference.
Besides, I don't think DMo wants to be shooting 3s since he always looks so hesitant to pull the trigger. However, the front office and coaching staff demands it from him.

There's no timetable for his return yet, but it could be a while. A peroneal nerve contusion seems a bit serious and he hasn't been back to practice yet.

I was disappointed we didn't post D-mo up more tonight, I know we already have a hard enough time posting Howard up but D-mo needs to be given his chances to create. He had that sweet bucket on Ibaka early in the game, I bet he could have kept delivering if we were looking for him.
