I think it's a mistake if the staff to allow Dmo to bulk up to 270. He doesn't need it because he's not a traditional post player but should develop to more like a KG type of player. He's a tall stretch 4 and limited back up 5 that is promising due to his height and mobility/speed combination.

Motiejunas has not seemed as effective on the post up as he was previously. At the same time, we still don't give it to him enough down there to help with his rhythm.

Still a bit clumsy from time to time but his passing has been really noticeable in a positive manner this year.

I disagree, because despite DMo being tall he has a wingspan that's probably an average wingspan for a NBA SF. Being strong is a good way to compensate for that lack of length, especially in the post. Take a look at Pekovic for example, dude isn't very long but is strong as a bull.

Dmo needs to step it up in these next two games. Tired of waiting on him.

You realize he's been stepping up for like last 3 games already, right? You gotta watch the games, not only the boxscores.

he has been filling nicely.. when tjones gets back we will have a stronger PF rotation

maybe bring tjones off the bench for scoring punch? he would still get many of his minutes with dwight but having dmo, ariza, and bev to set the tone could be beneficial

Wasnt DMo 260, 1 year ago already? Im pretty sure hes 270 by now. 270 looks a lot but remember hes not 6'9 or 6'10. Hes 7'0. DMo looks fairly slim because of that. TJ is over 250 and is only 6'9.

Once again I think after this summer when add some weight still need to adjust, atleast once per game you can see if DMo take position, with albow figth with two defender- stand and still take a rebound. Its rare but its happenng. I think Dwight and his habbits to work in gym, will show results on DMo. Once again look at Gortat stats at first 4 years behind Dwigth similiar stats(~5ppg, ~5rb). So still he have potention, on the other hand- if his value on (TJ missing) rise, its only Morey chance to trade him so it also migth happen. Just remember PPat and TRob get mins-> raise some value -> get traded

    lol

I watch about every game for decades now so know the Rockets well. Dmo has improved slightly in making himself a presence but barely registers. We need a more of an impact player. Dmo needs to step it up.

Defensively hes been good, but he need's to demands the ball in post and actually deliver instead of all the scrubs shooting 3pts and missing them.

Has anyone noticed, that with all of the noise about how Dmo needs to score more, only one point seperates him and the beloved Big Pappa? This is in the same amount of games...

Not anywhere close to the scoring of Terrance Jones mind you, but just an observation. I'm a big Dmo fan, and hopes he puts it all together for us to before the staff gives up on him. But he contributes more than what the box score shows. I expect a good game from him against the Grizzlies....

I don't really get all the D-Mo hate I've seen from some Rockets fans. I think Rockets defense has looked great with D-Mo with in the starting line-up. Big men typically take longer to develop, and I like what I have seen so far.

Someone did a video yesterday, now it's clear he's much better than last year.

My only major complaints with Dmo are that he chucks up too many 3's at inopportune moments, he is inconsistent w/ his rebounding, and he needs to finish strong around the basket more often. You rarely see him go to the rim with confidence and authority. His passing and defense has been markedly better this year though.

D-Mo is D-mo, he's not a traditional low post guy and it's so apparent with his game..

D-Mo, is a SF in a Center's body on offense... I really don't know or even think that D-Mo will be the typical low post guy and I feel he's probably getting close to his ceiling on offense...

    so basically W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G with D-Mo...

Pap is a rookie... they probably give him 1, 2 years to develop an offensive game

    jtr,

There should be no more posting from you about the GREAT D-Mo... No more flashing stats... No more cut and paste of D-Mo's highlights...
