> 26ppg > 7apg He's at 26.2 and 7.4 right now. Here's the list for the last 40 yrs: Lebron Wade Iverson Jordan Bird Michael Adams did it too, but I'm throwing out the gimmick Denver offense that allowed it...they were first in ppg 120 and last in opponent ppg 130. They gave up 130ppg! That's an NBA record by a whopping 5 point differential (for any non Denver team), and 10 points for any non-Denver, 1970 team or later. That team doesn't count.
MVP numbers, but he'll never win unless the Rockets literally crush the entire league. I don't even think 60 wins would be enough to overcome the axe grinding. Oh well, I guess he'll have to settle for getting us a 3rd championship.
Nice, but you bringing up Michael Adams gave me the yips. I really love the way Harden's playing this season, and I'm certain his shooting is better than he's shown thus far.
He's a stud. His numbers are great and historical only like 8 players have done what he did his first two years here. He's absolutely on KD and bron level. It's crazy that ppl doubted this guy when everyone on the list that he's on for his first two years play either has won a championship, mvp, scoring title or all three. To think he as going to be the first to flop was delusional. The best part about harden though is he's a natural leader you can tell guys look up to him he elevates that whole team when he's out there. Only a select few players have been able to do that in the history of the game and he's figuring it out at 25. Yikes for everyone else. This guy has the work ethic and mental makeup to truely be a legendary star and if management can get him the right pieces and we can win 3 rings with him as the leader, You better believe that harden we'lol get serious consideration for top 10-15 player of alltime. His potential is higher than wades IMO partley do health and obviously shooting. Only time will tell but harden has a chance to be legendary we should all enjoy it cause he's the best player we've had since dream and Imo the first guy who iv seen on our team that I think can seriously achieve dream like status for this franchise if he brings us some rings.
Seeing what elite achievements he's made when compared to players of the last 40 years made me wonder if he is the best player from his draft class. You would think it would have to be a no-brainer, but Blake Griffin and Steph Curry were both in his draft class. Is Harden clearly better than either of these two, i wonder?
Wilt claimed 10000 different women. He has a reputation as a stat ladder, I wonder if that is there case there too?
Klay and Harden are just learning the ropes. They can't even sniff Rodman's and Magic's jockstrap, let alone Wilts.
When Oklahoma could not sign him long term, and made him available to be traded; it's amazing that it was the Rockets package which was superior to the rest of the NBA!!!! I'm sure a lot of GM's would like to offer a little bit more these days.... Heck, it might be sour grapes by the NBA elite teams, which might account as to why Harden get's so much less media publicity. Because Harden's NBA peers constantly rank him as the best SG in the game. Morey masterfully manuvered to get two all-stars!!! Harden and Howard through him GM stellar work. I think the NBA feels that Morey fleeced the league by acquiring two all-star talents while giving up very little in return.
Wilt benefited from a more scoring-friendly era, before the discovery of HIV. Plus he tended to inflate his numbers by walking into orgies then claiming everybody in the building. In reality he probably only got 40, 45% of the people in there.
