This just shows us how bad the 76ers are. When we shot the three horrible against the Warriors we lost. We went 7-34 against the 76ers and came out victorious.

Bright side DMo and Canaan getting some much needed experience while Jones and Beverley out. This experience should make our bench better.

DMo has been fantastic on defense.

    I have been impressed.

We are missing Jones's athletic ability on rebounding, as well as offensive tempo in transition.

Completely disagree. That's Classic clutchfans overreaction to what should have been a blowout but wasn't. The 76ers were desperate for both their first victory and a redemption for a 50 point smack down the night before. The rockets were disinterested and thought it would be a cakewalk like everyone else. It's an 82 game season, games like this happen to literally every team ever. Except maybe those 96 bulls. Bottom line was we won and we've pretty much crushed our competition in every other game even sans Bev and Tjones. True our schedule has been soft, but the early results have been exactly what we should want to see.

It's kind of strange, but through 9 games if you asked me. I'd say the Rockets haven't been playing that well.

Sloppy basketball, but luckily this team has been quite possibly the best defensive squad out of the gate.

This team sticks with teams and just explodes for a few minutes and goes back to earth.

It is a reason why teams that play good defense win ball games. It doesn't take a crisp 48 minutes to win. It takes good defense followed by a few minute stretches where this team lights it up.

It has been super impressive. I wish we had this squad in the playoffs last year. Would have taken Portland behind the shed and kicked their arse.

Harden and Howard were just great down the stretch. In a game where the role players failed to help out (save D-Mo, I think he is getting more consistent with minutes), the superstars saved the day.

Great post. Will Rep's once I get on my PC.

We have needed a close, tight game like yesterday's. Just too many blowouts in recent games can bring a false sense of perfection. I betcha guys will be at the gym working out their kinks today.

You know the rockets are pretty good when we have our annual "the philadelphia game" but we win

I knew this was gonna happen. Houston gets worked by Philly every game. Never has there been a game where Houston blows out Philly in the past 5+ seasons.

That was a nervous game..glad we pulled it out. It feels good to win that type of game instead of talking about why we lost. Ugly wins count the same as blowouts.

We had Dwight Howard last night.

We didn't have him against GS. The defense was the difference.

Garcia needs to start making his 3s. His D was good, I thought, but if his 3s don't start falling, he'll be relegated to Dorsey minutes when Bev and TJ return. C'mon, Cisco, we need you.

Good news for the OKC game is that no Durant or WestBrook but just because they're not playing doesn't mean its an easy game.

I've given up all hope on Garcia. I thought maybe after playing for the national team and getting that knee fully healthy, he might be a solid contributor. Nope, he still sucks.

D-Mo shut down the power forwards and got all sorts of floor burns last night. Good game. We need Bev back.

He missed wide open 3s. I'd say 4 of them were wide open corner 3s

If we were at full strength and our point differential were half or less of what it is then I would agree.

Since it's not the case, I strongly disagree.
