1-14... The Lakers soon to be record. GS, @ATL, @HOU(B2B), @DAL, DEN, MEM Maybe a chance vs Atlanta or Denver.
When people say guys don't want to okay with Kobe, we are talking the whole Kobe package-- Kobe's play, salary and ego are all intricately linked. A guy like Duncan or Dirk taking a pay cut not only frees room for the team to acquire or keep teammates around in terms of cap math. It also signals a willingness to share the spotlight and the ball without some huge fight. Kobe isn't willing to do this. When Kobe took the $24.5M salary, instead of, say, $12M, it meant that the Lakers could not have landed multiple high priced guys. A star FA has to look at the situation and know that he'd have to play with Kobe and a bunch of cheap players and who knows what you even get from Kobe with the injuries. This also means the team will keep relying on Kobe as they can't afford much help. This just isn't and attractive package.
You know that wont last long. Dude is old and still trying to prove something. He should've grown out of that by now.
Well, considering I said Asian, no. This guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEE4ad2CQek&list=UU3moC83X04AoTPlIBVdXsCw
Geez...watched my first game of the Lakers the regular season...what a mess...hardly any 3's, all mid range, iso's, weak front court rebounding, bad rotations, miscommunicatons etc.. new team against a veteran Spurs team, but still i can see why they have 1-8 record
That guy's great! lol <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/uDBA39EZRX8?list=UU3moC83X04AoTPlIBVdXsCw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It's pretty sad to watch Kobe at this stage of his career still trying to be the man. Even MJ learned to take a back seat to the younger players at the end of his career. Kobe will go down firing. I don't think he will shoot north of 40% this season.
They don't have anyone they can go to inside now that Gasol is gone. Even Kobe's postups aren't really a reliable move anymore at his age(and with the injuries). I wonder if Kobe is willing to consider a trade(and if the Lakers would oblige). Does he really wanna suffer through a 20 win season?
Not sure you can trade him with that salary. I believe that was one of the main reasons for not signing CP. It would be impossible (words Morey used) to trade him if things a did not work out.
