It is a long season. There will be many complications. Absolutely nothing is ever straight forward in life. Which ever way this Rockets season rolls, I am ready for it. If they stay healthy I expect it will roll in a very positive direction.
Mchale doesn't really coach he gives pep talks. When you have a really talented team you don't have to do much coaching in the regular season but in the playoffs its another story.
No, I understand perfectly how rational that sounds because I've been a fan of the franchise for 30 years and I understand that you need to talent to win. If you don't have talent it doesn't matter how good you coach them. Bill Fitch, Jeff Van Gundy, RudyT, and Rick Adelman are far superior coaches to Kevin McHale. Not even close really. Give either of them James Harden and Dwight Howard in their primes on the same team and they'd easily outperform anything Kevin McHale has done here. Do you understand how ridiculous YOU sound?
I know my expectations. Scola years, I wasnt expecting ridiculous stuff. But it pains me to see this talented team go to waste like this. The answer to everything here is we need a better back up this and that but god help you if you say management.
Yeah yeah. Make all of the excuses you want. The cards are shuffled and the coach gets dealt his hand. Deal with it. Don't b**** at me.
#1 defense and #1 point differential with multiple starters missing multiple games! The outrage! Time to run this GM, coach, owner and team out of town.
They're not excuses, it's called reality. Some coaches get much more out of their talent than others. You telling me Bill Fitch could not have gotten this team to the second round last year? Freaking please.
If you believe that as absolute fact, I question if you actually remember back when JVG, Rudy, Fitch, and Adelman coached. Because I sure as hell saw a lot of disappointments and many a moment where I want them fired.
This thread should have a disclaimer before anyone is allowed to post: "We are literally tied with Memphis for the best record in the NBA despite multiple games missed by starters and a brand new bench."
No. Not a Chance. A 7% shot goes in at the buzzer. Not something that a coach has control over. Sorry.
Excuses. Pure and simple. You have absolutely no data to back your assertion up with. Therefor it is just opinion and speculation. And yes I have been a Rockets fan since I moved to Houston 40 odd years ago.
Oh Jesus. How many games do you think it would take JVG to make an adjustment on LMA? Two games or two minutes?
A good coach wouldn't even have had this team in that position in game six. That's how far off you are. You think it's one damn play. It's EVERY damn play starting in game one with LMA looking like he's playing a poorly coached JV team.
What adjustment are you talking about? In retrospect you should have a firm handle on that question. So elucidate us oh great one.
lol I am with jtr here. What adjustments would he have made? Mchale has had no PF or a bench for 3 years now. How would one of these fine coaches you admire so much have won? The reality is I have been a fan of the team since they moved here and seen them all. They all left lots to be desired but I do have to give respect to the one coach that has a better winning clip of them all. Of course haters gonna hate for no reason except they are haters. 8-1
