Wasn't pretty but it's a win and that's all that matters.

When the defense fronts Howard the Rockets keep struggling to get the ball to him.

Also, Motiejunas low post game is a weapon we should use more often. We are ignoring his best strength.

Aain was shown how you can't rely your offense on 3s, no matter how good they are. You gotta get higher % shots near the basket. Again, Dmo inside, off the ball screens for Harden, for Terry..... In other words, you gotta have a better playbook to execute better at playoff intensity.

Other than that, the Rockets look very good so far.

Good thing is our next game is Wednesday which means our players can get some rest. They still got some work to do.

Which makes you wonder why the had three days of before playing in Mexico. Maybe push that game up a day, or the one today could have gotten pushed back a day.

I was impressed by the overall effort level outside of the first quarter. Our shooting was putrid but we hustled and played physical the last 3 quarters. Dmo and Canaan ignited the intensity in the 2nd quarter . Dwight and James carried us in the second half. You aren't gonna win many games in which the team shoots >39%

Everyone crying about Daniels hasn't been watching much. He has been horrible this year every single time McHale has given him a chance. And McHale has given him more than a few. I don't blame him for trying out Cisco this time.

At least Cisco made 5-6 nice steals/deflections in the first half. If Daniels isn't hitting his shot (which he has not been) he is a complete liability.

major props to Harden for fighting through the pain and putting this team on his back.

He also didn't let the refs' non-calls or his teammates' poor shooting frustrate him. #mentaltoughness

Howard anchored the defense and his putbacks were bailouts for our poor shooting. Canaan and DMo showed up in the 2nd quarter. Nice steals and huge 3 by A3za

Man, Harden turned in another MVP performance. Still didn't shoot the ball well but he was the only guy doing anything out there for 95% of the game, while he was obviously hurt. He was the only one doing anything on offense for himself and his teammates and made some great defensive plays to keep us close.

So excited to have this guy on our team! He is focused and hungry. We are witnessing a player reach superstar levels.

Great to have two MVP caliber players on the same team.

Rockets really have to work on post passing. I know we talk about it a lot, but its really annoying watching Dwight get deep post position and the guard is hesitant to get him the ball. The window is so small when Dwight is open on the block where he can get an easy shot. The guards can't be hesitant, they almost have to anticipate Dwight being open..

Morey ball is all about making three pointers and free throws. Tonight we missed 27 threes and 14 free throws and still won. We aren't going to shoot this poorly very often, but it's going to happen. We won tonight and I'll take it. Now let's come out and play well against OKC and Memphis.
