I have it on authority from a St Arnolds employee that you should let them chill in the fridge since it is a Stout and it should be kept cool when aging. Don't drink it ice cold though, let it warm up to about 55 degrees before drinking.
Just got 2 from the Whole Foods on Post Oak! Also, how long do you guys typically age a bottle? I have 3 from 2014 that I'm dying to open, but I'll probably hold off for another year. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
Dude I have like five from five years ago and I just popped one recently and I was lit as fukk. The longer it ages the stronger the content is for some reason.
I wouldn't age them at all. Pumpkin beers in particular don't age very well. I have some from 2012, 2013 and 2014 and they definitely get worse with age although I didn't realize it at the time. Most of the Divine Reserve stuff can sit for years and turn out quite nicely, but definitely not these. Especially since they have them in ample supply for a month every year, I would down them soon after you get them
So are these easier to find these days? I just bought some from my local grocery store. I had never been able to find any before.
Yes they make more and there's just tons more of craft beer in general so people aren't immediately buying all of it
Just wait a month any yall can all get in on the ground floor of the disgusting cranberry sauce beer fad. Too soon? Giblet gravy beer? Pecan pie beer? Christmas peppermint? Eggnog beer? You sickos have no taste. A blender and a 12 pack of Coors would probably fix all your problems.
See? Yall are just proving my point ex post factard. Now Mr. Clutch, a proper porter made with pecan or chocolate or coffee or somesuch, is by it's nature not a fru-fru beer, and is just a porter.
God forbid anybody drive a red car either, since Buck here doesnt approve of that color on a car. The question still remains. Has anybody seen this around anywhere still?
I'm just tilting against the pumpkin spiced windmills. I'm sure it's delicious. In fact, I'm buying a 6-pack manana.
