The problem with Wal-Mart bundle is Wal-Mart.... My mentality is still the same, if I can walk in and there are Xbox One's in stock Ill pick one up. Not gonna wake up early or wait in line or get my hopes up for a $20 discount...... Especially on the console I am only picking up so I can either give it away for Christmas or play it then give it away to someone who does not have one. I anticipated the sunset overdrive for two months before it came out and because the news was Xbox One is selling poorly I'm prob going to e able to just walk in and out with one. So that sunday came alone with the price drop and I was ready. Went to pluckers, had some wings..... Headed out, started feeling lazy and put it off for Monday after gym. Went to best late at around 8 after workout and the dude said there are a couple in Katy and Rosenberg. Again I was stupid and assumed more stock was coming. No biggie. A few days went by and attempted again, then I spoke to some one about more stock and they said no more was coming..... By then I looked at gamestops and walmarts... Sold out..... sigh
I don't get it. This is basically a release of past Halo games as a collection for the newer console? Why would I want to play those tired games again if I already played them when they came out originally?
I thought that too until I played them, it's quite nostalgic as I mentioned. There's also quite a lot of updates being done. Especially on Halo2 anniversary. The sounds, cinematics, lighting, environment textures / models were all re-done. You can push one button and instantly it reverts to what the game looked like originally (even in cinematics) so you can see / hear the difference. It's quite impressive. I honestly wanted to replay the Halo 4 campaign, and see what it looked like with a more powerful game console. So far I have not been unimpressed. 1080p and 60 fps definitely makes the game look a bit different. Still waiting to try multiplayer...
Pretty embarrassing launch for this game. Multiplayer is beyond broken at this point, and it doesn't seem like it's close to being resolved. I'm sick as can be, so I was hoping to play a bunch this weekend to kill some time, but I guess I'll roll with the campaigns, even though 95% of why I wanted this was for the multiplayer.
Not nearly as bad as DriveClub, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed: Unity, etc...but I will agree. I nearly cancelled my pre-order, if I didn't have such close ties to Halo I likely would not have bought it. The game industry has become seriously ridiculous with the rate at which they release unfinished/untested/buggy games, not to mention the media overhyping said games so they achieve ridiculous sales for no reason. I will think twice before I preorder anything going forward, and I preordered everything previously.
I'm interested. Gamertag is Pr0udest Monkey (that's a zero in proudest). What time were you planning on playing?
As a side note, I'm actually confident that Microsoft's engineers will be able to fix this within the next week or so. DriveClub...eh... 1 full month later and counting.
if this **** doesn't get fixed I'm returning my xbox one , demanding my money back , or doing w.e involves a b**** fit.
There's supposed to be a major patch Wednesday to resolve the matchmaking issues. If that doesn't fix it, I'm probably returning my copy for NBA 2k.
Online hasn't been a problem for me, I't might take 5+ minutes for me to get into a game but once i'm in i'v been good. Only thing is some of the Halo 1 multiplayer matches get a little bit glitchy, but still not a big problem.
Patch is coming out this afternoon. I haven't had any trouble finding a matchmaking game by myself but I cannot get one with my friends. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/...-master-chief-collection-content-update-notes
Yea when i've gone in solo it works decently...anytime i've been with friends it's taken a long time. Really hoping this update fixes up the problems.
