I really don't care about lin brah. I watched the lakers last year to watch them fail and enjoyed it very much. I'm going to watch them fail this year and enjoy it very much. I hope to watch them fail for as long as possible.
speak for yourself friend, Kobrick wasn't playing last year, I watched all of those pathetic games Kobe played last year too before he got injured.
and no real clutchfan would join lakersground just to tell lin fans that they are suckers, we can tell them they are suckers here. like this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/fyGbKElMy2A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Looks like after a few fluke games of good shooting (much like the fluke that was "Linsanity") eremy is back to his normal self for the lowly Lakers. Maybe they can take all his bricks and build houses for the less fortunate
Those homeless are still more fortunate than poor, discriminated against Jer Bear. Keep trucking, bud.
You sound poor compared to Jer Bear. What a loser he is, that Jer Lin. But still more successful than you. Haters gonna hate.
LOL. Another Lin Crazy living his life vicariously through Lin. What a joke you lot are. Who gives a rat's ass if Lin is more succeessful in life than a poster. This is about his baskketball abilities or lack thereof. Fun fact: Lin is way below average to borderline horrible at what he does.
yes, the lin fans are nuts if they think he's an all star.. but at the same time there are people on the opposide of the extreme. your fun fact comment puts you on the other side of the extreme that baits these crazy lin nuts. I would say after 3 years he's not way below average or horrible like you say. but he's just average. If he was borderline horrible he would be on the bench as the 12th man or 3rd string guard that gets 3 mins of garbage time. Lin's not great, clearly has flaws in his game but he's also not horrible.
Seriously, the disappointment to Lin is that he's inconsistent and hasn't proved his contract's value. A rotation player who's the first or second off the bench is not below average in a league with relatively few players who get more than 10 minutes PT. The expectations are outta wack. Some people have convinced themselves of the hype or the backlash surrounding the hype.
For all the talks of Lakers' offense-- Kobe taking too many shots, Lin not stepping up, Byron's idiotic rejection of 3 pointers, they are actually doing fine offensively, ranking 11th out of 30 teams in points per possession. The Lakers are not shooting well from the field, but they get to the FT line a lot, crash the offensive boards and don't turn the ball over too much. Lin actually has a 60.8 TS% and a 112 ORtg. Kobe is not very efficient but he is the one taking all these bail-out shots when the offense doesn't generate anything else. Their offense still looks out of synch (not enough spacing, too much reliance on Kobe taking tough shots) but at least it looks like they have some talent on that end with which to work. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2015.html The problem is that they are ranked DEAD LAST on defense, and trailing the 29th place team by a BIG margin. And I am not sure that they have the talent to get that much better on that end.
My expectations are not as low as yours. Lin is a way below average to borderline horrible starting PG in this league and that is what he does right now - start as PG.
Plus, they have one of the toughest schedule so far - against all Western playoff teams, bar the Hornets (which they won). I ain't no Lakers fan, but their poor record can be misleading. Philly on the other hand...
They have no big. When you got no big, you think they would play up tempo instead of the half court game they are playing. The game has changed. Old school coach has adapted. Scott still operating from dino perspective. Less 3 and absolutely no floor spacing...
Of course he is a defensive coach; he says he is all the time. Stresses accountability and all that stuff. On the other hand, he is playing Carlos Boozer major minutes. Boozer is the walking definition of a net minus even on the infrequent days he shoots well. Given the defensive system Scott is playing, Boozer is actively making every other defender worse in addition to being terrible himself... and it is not like his teammates can afford to be made worse.
