Knicks. He's on a one year contract. Currently part of their rotation, but that could change when Bargnani comes back.
...what's the difference? It's not like he has to go anywhere else to see the sig...it's right below his comment.
Don't they know the Hawks changed his last name to Milsap: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B2SJUKBCYAAVGVA.jpg:large
In all seriousness, that doesn't surprise me in the least given he seems to be a perfect complement to our current team.
Glad they are at least targeting a piece that would legit make this team WAY better, versus just chasing another random big name. My personal wishlist this offseason was Lowry / Millsap / Ariza. 2 out of 3 wouldn't be bad.
So what you are saying is that Morey is not interested in trading for a PF This season? Because if we get one via trade, I don't see how we can afford Milsap. Doesn't sound like Morey to me.
Millsap signed on the cheap 2 years ago. Short deal for a reasonable amount. Didn't understand why Morey didn't target him at the time. Was it not feasable to acquire both Millsap and Howard at that time?
Thanks. Just trying to understand the logic as there are 70+ plus regular season games left in the season and more in the playoffs. Unless a your sources says Morey is content with TJ, I can't see why he would wait a whole year to 'possibly' sign Milsap.
I'd say that the asking price is too high, but if ATL sees the writing on the wall come trade deadline they may accept a fair amount less. I'm not sure the 'wait till FA' strategy on this one is solid. If you can get him at the deadline it means that you don't have to free up cap space in the offseason. Meaning you can still use the MLE etc and also not lose some of the bargain basement contracts we have.
