I actually did invite him to have a beer and just chat. I would love to bury the hatchet. His response was to call me a weirdo who he only wanted to beat up. I have no idea why this man carries so much anger/spite for me. I thought if we did meet and have a beer maybe it would humanize the situation and result in a more pleasant BBS experience. I have to think he enjoys his schtick and gets pleasure out of it, which ironically makes him just like the New Yorker he loves to attack. As for Islamism, I think everyone on some level understands it is a problem. I don't think awareness is the issue. 90%+ of the population knows that Islamic fundamentalism is a real problem. What's the solution? You get called an apologist for thinking that way.
Well, you are a weirdo. And you are taking things too seriously. I didn't really want to beat you up. I don't beat up random intellectually disabled children on the street either. Zero. I don't care about you at all, one way or another. There are a lot of people from the BBS I would not mind meeting. You are not one of them. Nope. I have always been consistent in my statements. I am nothing like a guy who posts in one direction for 6 years, gets banned, chooses a new screen name and starts posting the opposite of what he said before, for 7 years. And then makes up a story about an imaginary cousin whose positions he was posting for 6 years (facepalm).
... Gotcha, "Diva".. brother, you're too emotionally invested in the politics of this forum to have an unbiased debate. all the whining and complaining about the state of this forum has come from one party, and that same party isn't willing to post about topics that interest him. sorry, it's the internet, and no one's that important. let this be a life lesson for all the old timers who want it their way without participating. hell, i posted on real gm before signing up on CF this year and the moderation was 3x as strong, but topics were 3x as weak. you gotta hunker down, assess your environment, and go from there. can't be like islam and unwilling to adapt.
You wish. Just keep telling yourself that, kid. Laughing at someone and being obsessed with someone are two very different things. Just ask your "cousin", maybe he can explain it to you.
You refer to me in threads I am not even in. And you post in basketball threads I am in that have nothing to do with Islam or anything D&D. It's just bizarre. It is an obsession. Maybe your buddies will rush to your defense of course, but dude, you're one intense guy.
Look, you've been chasing me around this BBS for the last 7 years talking about NY'er and what not. Sometimes I go through a thread and find a post about me and no one responds to it. It's just weird. You're thinking about me for 7 years. I am truly occupying your thoughts and feelings. Guess what, I don't want to be occupying your thoughts and feelings! So how about we make a deal? I will never respond or refer to you again, and you return the favor? Do it as a favor to Clutch and the others here who find this whole thing just really really stupid.
There are two people in this forum who are professional trolls, and they have ruined any chance for interesting discussion, which is their intent, of course. Sadly, GARM has also been wrecked by a few trolls. It's amazing that a great site can see it's quality decrease by at least 50% based solely on the actions of no more than a half dozen posters, but there you go. If it were my board, I'd ban them, but it's not my call, and things are what they are.
I will say it's strange that he has quality posts for 7 years and yet you haven't been able to get over the NY'er posts. It's a strange obsession you seem to have. After he took a poll that you posted showing some negative attitudes from Muslims and showed that the majority of Muslims favor religious tolerance you seemed to go insane bringing up stuff that's almost a decade old and has nothing to do with 7 years of a good track record. It's almost stalker like behavior from you.
Still waiting for his first "quality post". Just because you think so doesn't make it so. In fact, the opposite is true.
He uses evidence to back up what he talks about. His posts are on topic. You might disagree with what he says, but the posts he makes speak for themselves. Whether you like them or not, doesn't make it any less stalkerish for you to drag up what happened almost a decade ago and believe that it is some kind of "gotcha"
What he said. If there is a poster that you don't think ever contributes anything worthwhile then why continue paying attention to them?
