Guys, I'm #2 in fantasy scoring (ahead of #3 by 80 points and behind #1 by 10) and I'm 4-6.. I have a real chance to win the scoring title without even making the playoffs.. this is a cruel lesson in fantasy football: points against is the most important stat. I'm #1 in points scored against me by a mile.. with an incredible stroke of bad luck I've been #2 in scoring almost every week but somehow get matched up against the #1 scorer of the week. Someone buy me a drink.
I feel you. I'm 4-6 in a money league with 2nd most points and 2nd most PA. Had the 2nd most points this week and lost by 20. Bad Beats happen. There is always some amount of luck in H2H.
Market is slim for a QB. Offer has turned into Alshon and Bush for Big Ben. I might just pass on both offers. Neither Ryan Mathews/Steve Smith nor Alshon/Reggie Bush helps me much.
I definitely would. Lynch and Murray is not very close value, but Luck is far away from Ryan or Rivers. do it!
I am thinking Hillman but can't say for sure as I haven't followed Richardson much this year. I have Hillman in one league and CJ Anderson didn't get picked up so I have some opinions on the Broncos running game. I assume this will be a full blown hot hand committee approach once Hillman is healthy in 2-3 weeks (ouch). I am not sure if Hillman will remain the starter or not as he was having issues in pass protect and wasn't running very well against better run defenses. I think Anderson is a more complete back and will have some good games coming up. Ball may prove that he is the lead back in that time period too. Broncos have a difficult schedule against rush defenses until week 15-16. I am hoping to pick up the guy that will be the lead back in weeks 15-16. Anyone have any input on who they think we will be the lead back in Denver during the playoff stretch? Should I drop Hillman and pickup Anderson or even Montee Ball? I am comfortably in first so I am looking for playoff potential over immediate gains.
I don't think Hillman is worth holding onto unless you're in a deeper league. With Anderson and Ball back in the mix, it will be hard for Hillman to come back in and resume getting bulk touches. Trent Richardson is basically a backup masquerading as a starter. He doesn't fit into the passing game and therefore his value is purely based upon goal line opportunities. He's barely worth a roster spot.
Do you think Anderson is worth a flier to see what he is capable of or should I take a flyer on Montee Ball? I don't think I need one of them to play until maybe week 12 and beyond.
Impossible to tell who will get the bulk of the touches. Anderson just had a good game against a horrid defense. Ball wasn't able to get on track before he went down. Just pick up one and hope you get lucky.
Agreed, going with Anderson since he is healthiest. I am sure the Broncos won't be a worthwhile RB play in the playoffs but at least I took Anderson off the market so he can't beat me the next 2-3 weeks.
Should I trade Antonio Gates and Andre Johnson for TY Hilton? My other WR's are Percy Harvin, Reggie Wayne, and Doug Baldwin. Backup TE is Owen Daniels. Thanks in advance
I think you almost have to. TY is a beast this season, and his schedule down the playoff stretch is super easy. I'd do it, but I would be trying to look for a better TE in the meantime.
I trusted Zac Stacy so much this season for some odd reason. In both leagues I drafted him. I can't believe I chose Stacy who I just dropped in my ESPN league over Murray. I knew Murray would be better, but something just told me to pick Stacy over him if that makes sense
Murray was my first pick in a PPR keeper league. My keeper was Montee Ball, so that kind of evened itself out.
Just got offered another huge trade: I send: Tom Brady Antonio Gates Percy Harvin I receive: Andre Ellington Denard Robinsion Jay Cutler my current roster QB - Brady, Vick WR - Andre Johnson, Harvin, Hilton RB - Forte, Ball, Hillman, McKinnon, Sankey, Simms TE - Gates, Daniels
