During Magic's first few years, him and Kareem were both MVP level players, so I would go with them.

Pippen was a great player, but Jordan was clearly the Alpha of that duo, and West/Chamberlain only got together at the end of their respective careers. I would probably put Shaq/Kobe #2.

Aren't they missing a round? They go from round of 16 to semifinals and then finals. But maybe it's too early for me.

NBA TV is conducting a fan vote for each round (every night). Results are shown nationally during halftime.

    Lame, I know.

Yup, you're right. They skipped directly to the semifinal round, forgetting there's a quarterfinal round for 16 teams (duos).

    Nice catch.

Can't say I've seen much of Magic/Kareem in action. When you talk about dynamic duos it's automatic - MJ/Scotty and Stockton/Malone.

Outside of the usual pippen/jordan, shaq/kobe, stockton/malone etc. Olajuwon and Sampson. Too bad the era couldn't have been longer.

A due should make the following

complete each other, make each better, hardly anyone can be replace or fit..any of the due.

..."sorta of a fairy tail of what a perfect marriage should be"

This why I chose Stockton/Malone..they won't have much of a success out side their close circle

Yeah, but how can they be the best of all time if they never advanced passed Magic/Kareem, Bird/McHale, Thomas/Dumars, Dream/Drexler, MJ/Pippen? All of those duos won titles during the Stockton/Malone era.

That's 15 championships between 1984-1999. Jazz won exactly zero in that span.

    That's my first thought.

But that '83 '76ers team is arguably the best team ever. They demolished Magic/Kareem after demolishing Bird/McHale/Parish.

Not so sure even MJ's 72 Win team could beat Moses/Dr J/Cheeks/Toney/Bobby Jones team that year.

Bulls always had problems with beasts down low. Poor Ewing had to rely on Starks.

This is actually a testament to how great Olajuwon was, that they couldn't find a duo for him.

    Agree
