Solid game compared to his past two games, yup. He'll have better nights and he'll probably have worse nights.
Which is what he will always be. I loved Parsons game and I definitely would have love for him to still be in Houston, but at that price, I am glad Morey made the right choice.
I still think it's better not having Parsons here trying to show he's a star. Last year's team was like a three-headed dog. Ariza alone is better than having both of them.
I recollect pretty well the season when Mavs were No. 1 seed and Dirk won MVP of the regular season and were defeated in the first round by the Warriors. Fool's gold
Good job leaving out other important stats like points per game, rebounds, assist,s free throw attempts, free throws and not being an douchebag..... You are a troll........ James Harden is so far ready to have an MVP like season while the other is ready to get demoted to the bench...... Don't post stupid crap like this.........
Dirk or Ellis. Dirk can get that fadeaway off on anyone and I'd rather have that than Chandler shooting too much. Of course, that's if I'm a Mavs fan, and I couldn't be farther from a Mavs fan if I tried....maybe it's better for me as a Rockets fan if Chandler continues to shoot too much.
relax. i was just pointing out a fact that i thought was interesting. also, i didn't know "not being a douchebag" was a stat.
You need to hang out more with this dude. You two think similarly. http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=170834
Plus, Harden drives to the basket more than anyone in the league and gets fouled in the act of shouting and he'll even throw up a shot just to initiate the foul which most often is a miss, but gets him to the free throw line like 10 times every game. On the flip side, Parsons is a spot-up shooter who shoots wide open 3s that are fed to him by Nowitzki and Ellis. Two very different shooters nonetheless.
I fail to see what's funny about whining like a bunch of jilted losers. Yes, Cuban paid Parsons waaaay more money that he was worth. Yes, he's not playing up to the level of his contract (no big surprise there). But this isn't the first time (nor the last) that Cuban overpays a player who can't live up to his contract (Shawn Bradley anyone?). As I explained before, the signing of Parsons had more to do with PR for the MFFLs than actual basketball reasons. The Mavs were old and losing and those MFFLs were mighty PO'd at Cuban for breaking up that 2011 championship team. The Parsons signing gave Cuban the PR cover he needed for this season. That is a typical Mark Cuban snake oil move to sell even more blue koolaid. As for Parsons, knowing how Morey operates, if he'd stupidly turned down all that money to stay, he would have been dumped next year for a 2nd round draft pick or something similar because that's how Morey operates.
You say "jilted losers" and I say a few people clowning, and I've laughed out loud a few times in this thread. (shrug). I dunno. I think "jilted" would make more sense if the Rockets were looking bad this year, but that's far from reality. Most of us are pretty psyched about the new improved team (especially the defense). Personally, I'm not spending much time on typing a few quick jokes about Portions, but whatever. If I'm a "loser" I don't think it's based on what I find funny but it would be for spending time on a basketball message board. Also, I sometimes fail to see what's funny in what other people laugh about, (e.g. videos of people hitting each other on a subway car), but I don't find value in challenging people about it or calling them losers. That's just me. If it's frustrating, I'd recommend avoiding the thread. That's what I try to do at least -- works okay. PS -- nobody's arguing about the serious elements of your post. It's all well-known history. To me, that's tangential to the Portions stuff. EDIT: My same take with a Lin fan, or something like that.
Just curious... why are so many so bitter about Parsons leaving?? If the Rockets are in better shape and a better team now, why are some so bent up out of shape that he left?
