[2014-15] Chandler Parsons as a Dallas Maverick

We didn't let his defense slide but gave him a huge pass on his douche tendencies.

 

I'm sure he's going to score 30+ tonight to shut us all up.

 

You people REALLY need to get a life... You all sound like a bunch of whiney little girls whose boyfriend dumped them for a sexier girlfriend. Who the f**k cares what a guy on ANOTHER TEAM does or doesn't do? All of this Chandler butt-hurt is getting really, really old.

When you were lamenting Chandler's play last year he was the most consistent player on the Rockets roster. When Chandler was hurt and out of the game we knew it was going to be an L.

 

Last year I was most worried about a loss to a bad team if Parsons wasn't playing.

 

Agree! I think we saw glimpses of his doucheness that we let slide.

Portions saying it was ridiculous that he was left of the initial USA roster.
Saying he was the best SF in the Portland series..

We looked the other way and said we loved that he was confident in his abilities.

 

Yes, that is a stupid statement. CP25 is overpaid, he can't create for himself off the dribble, he's a streaky shooter and plays zero defense but he's still a much better player than Bud. Bud probably has more "natural talent" than parsons but he can't put it together on the court.

 

Can you imagine Chandler's mentality (including his douche mode) in the body of Chase Budinger!? My goodness gracious! Chandler was everything we thought Budinger could/should have been.

After Dallas gets eliminated from playoffs Morey should call up Cuban and see if Dirk is available.

Or we can take Parsons back if they throw in a 2nd rounder and pay half his salary.

 

My thoughts exactly. I remember questioning the parsons pick because I felt we had that "guy" in bud. But I was wrong and that's why Morey is the man.

 

Parsons is a good player. But he also is streaky and I think he needs the right system.

The Mavs were a good offensive team that was subpar defensively last year. They still are.

Parsons wasn't going to change this fact. The point of his signing is to replace Vince Carter and a little of Shawn Marion, who were pretty good for them last year but are aging and who knows how long they will last at this level. They are still good offensively despite Parsons' slump and still not good on D.

The one guy they could have hoped to make them better on D is Tyson Chandler, who looked older and less effective last year for NYK but they were hoping would be rejuvenated. So far it hasn't worked out this way.

 

Mavs could have signed Ariza and resigned carter.

 

I think they really expected him to play stretch 4 when they signed him

 

Don't forget DeJuan Blair

I thought DeJuan Blair was a huge reason they took Spurs to 7 games. With their PF depth seriously lacking after Dirk they could have used him.

 

SO Portions is now 2-22 in his last 22 FGA and going strong.
