It's only Simmons reading things as "the Body Language Doctor" so take it for what it is worth, but he said during the latest BS Report with Zach Lowe that he doesn't think that PHX looks as good as they did last season and Dragic and Bledsoe don't look so happy, perhaps because of sharing minutes with Isaiah Thomas.
I do think someone is going to get trade before the deadline... and it won't be Isaiah. He's cheap, he's signed long term, he's young, he's good and they persued him. But there will be other suitors out there for Bledsoe or Dragic.. I don't think we have enough to get it done for either of them. Bledsoe would cost us Ariza+ and I don't think they (nor I) want to pay that steep of price. Salary wise Dragic isnt a problem but I don't think the Pelican's pick+pap+jones is enough.
If we trade for Dragic, I'm thinking it'll be a 3 team trade with Phoenix getting a true center from another team. We don't have the assets Phoenix wants to get Dragic. But another team might and we could give them some of our assets.
It just doesn't make sense for the Suns to keep and pay Dragic. If they are firmly out of the playoffs at the deadline, why commit 40 million dollars to an assortment of PGs? I can definitely see many scenarios where he is traded at the deadline.
