Anyone catch this game? Looking at the stats seems like Chandler was benched. Maybe because of his inability to defend Deng? They were down by 20 and the starters were still in excluding Chandler.

I honestly didn’t expect Parsons’ offense to drop like this. I thought he’d put up mostly the same raw stats he did in Houston because the Mavs offense would be awesome. But there is absolutely no reason why he should be shooting as bad as he has to this point. That offense should be fitting him like a glove with Ellis and Dirk taking all the attention away from him. His defense is pretty much just as I expected. I guess switching coaches didn’t make him suddenly a perimeter stopper again.

They would have to pass to him for that to be effective.. Even when Ellis and Dirk are double teamed the shot is still going up. When Portions was here in Houston, he was getting a lot of his points from Harden who is more than willing to pass the ball to an open player when he is driving to bucket. Ellis not so much.
he's not exactly a "pure shooter", so his struggles shouldn't be that surprising. he throws line drives at the rim and frequently fades away when he does not have to. he will eventually get it together, although not to point to justify his contract. it's clear the rockets' offense afforded him many easy buckets that he's not getting in dallas.
