Combining multiple similar articles into one thread is not "sweeping it under the rug." It's a simple matter of etiquette, and keeping a forum cleaner, more efficient, and easier to use and read.

We have numerous examples of single threads covering a broad topic, with tons of relevant articles being posted from numerous points of view. The 2012 elections. Valerie Plame. The 2012 election was obviously a huge, broad topic. Of course major events or media gotchas would get individual threads, but because the meat of the conversation was happening in a "main" thread, the conversation was actually improved. It's harder to keep repeating the same arguments over and over when you're in one thread. The opposite is the case for "one thread for every single article I find on Islam today": similar arguments are rehashed over and over.

It's not a coincidence that I used the word "humility" when addressing ATW. It's hard for a spam-oriented OP to hold back; having a brand new thread at the top of the page for every single occurrence within a broader topic lends more importance to the topic in the OP's mind.

I don't think ATW should be banned or "controlled" (what does that even mean?) I think the forum would be less cluttered, and dialogue on Islam improved, if narrowed down to fewer threads.

It's not spam; and once again, most threads on Islam are not even started by me. Just go through the last few ones and you will see I didn't even start most of them.

This is slightly dishonest. Almost all of the Islam threads on the last two pages (which there is a staggering amount of) were started by you or downbytheriver.

And since downbytheriver is more than likely the troll personality of a poster/former poster on this site I think you do own some responsibility (since he's gonna keep trolling) to consolidate those discussions into less threads. This isn't a knock on you or anything btw. It is spam worthy though. In the same way that da1 creates transportation threads on end and toycen created alien threads. I've actually learned quite a few things from some of the stuff you've posted. It would just make more sense that they are in one place as opposed to a new thread on every thought.

Come on man. You're a smart guy. Don't act ignorant.

Within the last 4 months: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/search.php?searchid=477156
    <br>
24 of the last 25 threads you posted in D&D were about Islam, even if thinly veiled. 24 threads in the last 4 months. That's a lot by any standard.

Also, you can't just conveniently stop at that Nigeria thread. After that it goes:

Egypt Defends Itself Against Islamist Teror -ATW
Bill Maher and Sam Harris- ATW
    Islamist Propaganda - ATW
    Amnesty International -ATW
    German Police - ATW
    Islamic Woman -downbytheriver
    Decoding Facial Hair - ATW

    Ooooh yeah, especially this one:

US Healthcare system in international comparison Those damn Pakistani doctors!

    And this one:

German police injured in clashes with far-right protesters

Those damn Muslonazists! How thinly veiled!

    And how about this one:

Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai Are Awarded Nobel Peace Prize

Guess what: Not a single person responded to that one! Maybe they prefer my Islam threads so they can b**** and argue?!

    Then we had that:

    Positive thread: #JewsAndArabsRefuseToBeEnemies

Guess what: NOT popular - 8 responses, 5 of which were from me.

...whereas the other threads, which were critical of Islam, sparked a lot of discussion.

So...21 threads critical of developments related to Islam in 120 days...oh the horror! People must hate that, so they ignore them...oh wait.

The German Police thread and JewsandArabs thread are both related to Islam and you know it. You even mention so in your OP of the German Police thread.

"These neo-nazi thugs disgust me. I know some of the leftists and Islamists here would love to paint me as someone like them. But they disgust me as much as the salafists.

I hope they will not be able to capitalize on mainstream politicians' failure to address the problem of political Islam. Anyone who warns of the dangers of political Islam is immediately painted in the far right-wing corner by leftists and called "bigots" or "racists" (even though all they are doing is criticizing a bigoted ideology called political Islam), so many just don't talk about it."

The basis behind that thread was so that you could point out you're not similar to people who hate Islam because you've been criticized for making too many threads on Islam. Anyone with half a brain can see that. You hinted at as much in your OP.
    <br>
As far as the Nobel Peace Prize thread, you turned it into another "Islam" thread when it had little reason to be with your second post:

"I hope she is safe in England. There are enough Islamist lunatics there as well."

    No wonder no one responded.

    24 out of 25.

That's a hell of a lot in a 4 month span. The fact that you seem to not think so is fairly odd. Most of those threads could have gone in an all encompassing thread. Like I said. You're a smart guy. A smart guy with an obsession perhaps, but that's another point. As far as I am concerned it's not about you anyway. It would just be nice for the D&D to be less cluttered.

Well I don't think you'd want to get into a fight with me. I am six five and 250lbs.

I just want to see if you are the type of person who throws insults over the internet while sitting in his underwear or has the courage enough to face the people you insult. I didn't think you had much of a spine but I wanted to give you a chance.

He is just as big as you are. Or something along those lines.

Set it up with a livestream. I'd pay to watch that bit of hilarity.

As much as I dislike him, I am not interested in physically harming him. I just want to show him up as the coward he is.

We will see if there is little reason to make that statement. Her life was threatened in Pakistan - in fact, it's a miracle she survived. And there is a huge Pakistani community in England. What exactly makes you think that "it had little reason to be"? The very reason they tried to murder her was their interpretation of Islam.

    As to the other threads:

Why would an argument between Bill Maher and Ben Affleck go into the same thread as media intimidation by Hamas in Gaza and facial hair in the Arab world and a fired employee beheading a coworker at an Oklahoma plant and the Turkish Vice Premier Minister wanting to prohibit women from laughing in public? Those are all separate topics. Do they have a common denominator, intolerance because of Islam? Yes. But are they still separate topics? Absolutely.
