    If they are a super bowl contender it was because of their defense not Carson Palmer anyway

    Palmer was a top-10 QB so far this season and having arguably the best season of his career. He was a net-plus for that team. Stanton is likely to be a net-minus and would just be a caretaker QB. Their defense is great, but it's different when your great defense is paired with an above-average QB vs a caretaker. See Seattle or Baltimore or Pittsburgh before they got their current QB's.

    It's a team effort and Drew Stanton won't cut it. Trust me. QBs who barely complete 50% of their passes and throw more INTs than TDs don't make Super Bowls. Before this year, he hadn't even thrown a pass in the NFL since 2010.
