I think a team needs more than one creator to be successful..especially during playoff time..look at the spurs they Parker and ginobli..a pg creator and a gs creator..but has anyone noticed that they don't play together until the end of games. When Parker is resting manu is running the show. And vice versa. We need a pg..that can run the show. No team has won a championship with one guy being sole source of all of the offensive plays.

    lol

Those are high usage players and we now have 2 high usage offensive players. Getting these high usage players that would eat into Harden's effectiveness is working at cross purposes. As for guards we need a complementary player with Harden and not another offensive high usage player as a starter. As far as starters we need that PF.

Of course it doesn't mean much because we lost but we still have not allowed a team to score a 100 on us. We held the supposedly "best team in the NBA" to under a hundred points without Dwight and Bev.

Tough loss for the Rockets. It was evident that there were a bunch of guys who weren't used to playing with each other because 3/5 of our starting lineup was out last night. That caused a lack of rhythm amongst the players that were in there more turnovers and inability to get the kind of shots the team would normally get.

On the bright side the team did play hard and put forth a great effort. They were in the game until the end. Harden hustled, put forth defensive effort and played hard. Jason Terry was inspirational off the bench and played well at both ends providing great opportunities for the team. IC did a great job with his effort filling in as a starting PG. It was worth watching and cheering for our team even thought we lost.

Can't wait for the next game.

Sure we did ok with what we had, but GS is nowhere near being the best team.

GS has the best guards in the league, one of the best front lines if and when Bogut and Lee are ever healthy together (it may never happen) and an average SG. They certainly will be in the hunt for the best record in the NBA this season. Remarkably they have a top five NBA defense and a top five NBA offense. Not shabby.

What a flu can destroy a beast like Howard? Maybe Kobe was right. Howard is just soft.

You clearly have never gotten the flu. I'm still recovering from one and I couldn't even get out of bed a day and a half, much less play a full game of NBA basketball...

So are you contradicting yourself in one sentence by saying GSW has the best guards in the league and they have an average SG?

IIRC SG is one of the guard position you were talking about.

When I read the initial announcement about Howard being out it was said more that to keep Howard away from the other players so they would not get sick.

A generation is about 25-30 yrs. Hakeem I dare to say is a 50-70 year talent.
