We are just a little over halfway through the season. The Texans sit at 4-5. Here is how their schedule shakes up: @ Cleveland vs Cincinnati vs Tennessee @ Jacksonville @ Indianapolis vs Baltimore vs Jacksonville It's tough to predict because we don't know what Mallet can do. He has 1 completion and 4 attempts in his career and 1 INT. I think I way overestimated Tennessee and Jacksonville. They are terrible so I think Houston can win 2 out of 3 remaining games and pickup a game against the Bengals and greatly exceed my expectations with their record but not because they were better than I thought they would be.
The sick sad part of this is. . EVERYONE OF THOSE TEAMS ARE HIGHLY BEATABLE ?BY THE TEXANS!! If Mallet just keeps the turn overs low . .. a few shot down field . .. limit the 3 and outs I cannot see what we cannot go 7-0 ~ 5-2 Rocket River
If we can remain consistent on D and get Clowney back and performing well then Ravens are beatable too. Indy will be the toughest game left on our schedule.
I think we were headed towards 7-9 with Fitz. I guess the question now is if Mallett nets us any additional wins or losses.
Such a easy schedule...we need clowney/Morris back...and we all need to pray that mallett is our qb answer
I think mallett is going to surprise a lot of people. I think the offense is going to look a whole lot better with him under center. Fitzpatrick was really holding this team back.
Bobby's got 'em at 10 wins plus. I'm going with 7 wins...which is one more than I picked before the season started!!!!! CONGRATS TEXANS!!!!!!!!!!!! Parade!!!!!!!!! Confettiiiiiiiiii!!!!!! Champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I've lived in this city for 40 years.
Alright, I'm gonna go all in and say I'm really excited about Mallett playing..because I've been duped for 40 years, so what's another. Let's go! I watched this guy play a ton at Arkansas. My wife is from Little Rock, and the Hogs are her second favorite team. He had moxy down the stretch of games for the Hogs in the SEC. I think he could be the guy. I hope he's the guy. I hope. And hope is a good thing.....Shawshank......digging out of crap.
I said 8-8 before the year, after our 2-0 start, and now. This team is exactly what i thought it was. We sweep the Titans/Jags and we split with Cleveland and Cincinnati. This isn't a bad team, this isn't a good team, this is an average team. People talk about how easy our schedule is, but 9 of our 16 opponents currently have winning records, so it isn't all that easy.
I said 10-6 before the year because our schedule was cake but im going to bring it down to 8-8. The offense just hasn't shown us anything, other than Foster, If we can become at least competent with Mallett than we should be able to win some games. We have been forcing so many turnovers and its just going to waste!
11 of the 16 AFC teams currently have winning records, so every team in the AFC is likely playing 9+ games against team with winning records.
I said 7-9 too, but I think they'll win a game they were supposed to lose and lose one they were supposed to win. Hoping for a minor miracle though. Would be fun to see!!
Mallet goes "all world," and the Texans win the rest of their games. Roll into the playoffs at 11-5. I wish.
