I don't hate Lin, I think he's a nice guy and an okay basketball player, I'm just glad he is working out the kinks in his game a few states away.

I'm disappointed he couldn't think of some lame proverb or verse for these evil people.

You have to do something to impress former Houston Rockets. They aren't fans of crappy players.

You dislike a hard working, God fearing, community serving good guy who's had an uphill battle his whole basketball career?
    You have smart friends.

    Can I dislike his game?

Or is that not allowed as well?

of all the nba players who fall in that category, why did you decide to follow the most mediocre and inconsistent one?

Point out where Lin has been passive aggressive... Silence.

Show me instances where Lin dealt with racism. Link given... Silence.

Straw man arguments - can I just dislike the guy as a basketball player? No **** sherlock. You can hate him for whatever reason you want. No one is stopping you.

I see now there is no point replying in this thread.

I like him because he's a good guy. The crappy handles makes me dislike him as a basketball player, and the religion stuff is annoying. God did not make him an NBA player just like God didn't give him crappy handles.

Please enlighten us with all the racism he had to deal with.

He is just a frustrating player to watch. He can do great things but for some reason he makes very stupid mistakes. He reminds me if dmo. Also a player where you see his potential but he just cannot take the next step.

I think you hit it on the head.

It was kind of fascinating to see what a harvard economics major would do on a basketball court. high IQ, study habits, work ethic. Obviously that would translate into a guy who maximized his average physical talent with high bball IQ! Always being in the right spot at the right time. Running the offense like a champ. Making good decisions. Crafty passes. Sneaky steals. Right?

Nope. Jeremy Lin is the exact opposite. He's like Javale McGee lite out there. Makes bad decisions. Seems like he works twice as hard as anyone else to get the same results, etc.

That is what is frustrating. We all keep watching expecting him to be INTELLIGENT and he's the exact opposite. And no one really knows why.

IMO he plays scared, like all the time. And because of that he makes the boneheaded mistakes. I just do not see the confidence when he handles the ball. He was the opposite in NY and I don't think that player is ever coming back.

We all know about his McGee moments in the playoffs.

Last week he had two Shaqtin moments.

Once in the clip below and the other which they didnt include where he bumped his own man off the inbound and the other team scored a layup.

Lin definitely has McGee like potential.

I finally get to enjoy these moments and not get frustrated over them because he is not on my team anymore. :)

See link migos provided on previous page of thread. Anyway a brief synopsis would be Jason Whitlock - "two inches of pain", chink in the armor, hearing racial slurs shouted at him in games (hard to prove but I would give him the benefit of the doubt).

Not the most horrible stuff in the world sure, but definitely Whitlock wouldn't be still writing articles for espn if he crapped on a different racial group ala nappy headed hoes.

Also the only reason the racial stuff was brought up by me was because some idiot said Lin acts like a "patron saint/ victim for Asians" and should just focus on bball and that others had a "much harder road". Lin doesn't bring up the racist experiences unless he was asked about it in an interview. He isn't responding to an NBAtv reporter asking what his favorite ice cream is. Also the fact is no one else in the modern nba has had to deal with racism like he has. Other stuff, sure but that isn't what we were talking about.

Then you had guys accusing him of being passive aggressive so I said show me where he has been that way.

I agree with your take on his game for the most part... That isn't what we been bickering about the past few pages. He isn't my favorite player by far.

i don't even think Jeremy Lin has that great of a personality in my opinion.

Is he a funny person? Sure he has funny and corny youtube videos that were professionally made by his pr team

Yao Ming was super quick and witty, telling Ron Artest "See you at the Club"

Did Yao Ming make a video of him working out saying he's getting 'better' and training 'harder'? No we saw that work effort every day, we don't need youtube to show us that. the results are on the scoreboard

Would you put Jeremy Lin on TNT with Kenny and Charles? Would he actually say something that's not boring ?

I'm sure Brent Price and Bryce Drew were good guys too. Nobody ever remembers what they said.

I like Lin, the person & the player...but his inconsistency is one of the hardest things to deal with, especially since he's not exactly a dummy.

I wish him all the best...except against us of course.

Many casual Asian bb all fans become blinded by their list for an Asian male in the media.

Yao was so cool. Never used excuses, never talked about th e cultural barrier, his misunderstanding of the language , his poor hearing, adjusting to a new country.. just put in the work to match his amazing talent.

Lin is content to come from a cushy suburb and feel sorry for himself. No such th ing as an uphill battle for a guy who went to Harvard and never had to worry about money. Harden is from Compton LA, lol. But he so evillll

Lol,I'm not you. I haven't bookmarked and saved every quote he released. But I followed the rox and know I have no reason to be biased against a player, just use the facts I have read. I thought it was common knowledge, but I guess some ppl are too busy living th r u someone to get the POINT. My advice is.. learn to be your own man and think for yourself. You'll stop th inking th e world is out to get ya .
