He's still really raw in terms of NBA spacing & speed, but by next season I think we'll have a very well rounded player on our hands. Between him and Ariza, we'll forget about that other guy.
We haven't had a swiss army knife type in a long time. Kostas is that kind of player, very similar to Diaw (although not as good).
If you're comparing opposing FG% of a perimeter player vs. an interior defender, you're already misusing the stat the way it's intended.
I like some thing Kpap brings to the table but like I expressed in game thread, if he doesn't start shooting better coach McHale needs to start playing Daniel or Garcia more. A bad shooting perimeter player in this offense is useless. Hopefully he gets his shot going.
TBH...I think his very decent shooting form, and considering most of his shots are hitting the front of the iron...I have faith his range will improve with time.
Kpap has got to hit the gym and shoot a couple hundred NBA 3's over the next couple weeks, he hits even a few of his shots this game is an easy W. Love all the other intangibles and effort plays he makes. Plus his defense is quite excellent for his first year in the NBA
Still love his game, but he obviously has to improve that 3 ball. Very early in his NBA career, sometimes it takes a little while to adjust. He still does tons of other little things to help the team, but his game will really take off if he develops a consistent 3.
I didn't see the game, but a lot of his early success has to do with playing off Howard. So, I'm not surprised that he would struggle with Howard out.
His 3s are consistently hitting the rim, just a tad short. Can't he just take a step in and take it from the 3pt line, ala Jeremy Lin in the early days with us?
Very true. Plus he is a rookie to the NBA game. He will adjust but it will take some time to get his 3s to become a consistent shot.
