I think millsap makes about 8.3 a year or so and expires end of this year. West makes 10 mil a year and expires after next year.

I agree full well on getting a big that can protect the paint when Dwight is resting. But we need a Veteran who understands the game. Dorsey won't do nothing for us here. Euro basketball and NBA is a different monster.

I'm sure the podcasts will come more often as the season culminates towards the playoffs, but man, doing podcasts or any form of media is tough. I'm sure Clutch has a full plate.

"I think people looked at things they'd lost, they really... you could look at it as addition by substraction" You go on to explain why, Clutch, then MK dives into your point and expands on it. Just an excellent take on both the early season, and how the team has changed from last season to this one, even if it is early. You both put focus on our strengths and weaknesses, then break them down. Our starting lineup deserving of contender status (and I ardently agree), laying out the improvements of guys like Harden and what Trevor has brought to the team. The uncertainty we have at the starting 4 spot if we are going to contend. Then you guys get into our biggest weakness being the bench and break that down. Loved the podcast. Simply a trip to listen to. Like everyone else says who actually listens, you are remarkably good at this format, Clutch, with MK being one of the really excellent cats for a podcast. Always looking for the next one.

Then you discuss depth. What do we lack on the bench? MK says scoring from our bigs (can't disagree with that!). Loved what MK and you said about KP (who's been a revelation, busy serving up some tasty play and turning into my favorite Rocket) and Terry, who, as MK said, still has a lot left in the tank, if his body can hold up. That the guards and wings are not nearly the problem we have with the bigs. I was thinking that the depth issue was more the need for a D&D point (distribute and defend), but Canaan is winning me over, so I agree with the take you two have that the need of a veteran 4/5 we can depend on game in and game out to backup Howard trumps the need for a veteran point. And on and on. Can't wait for the next podcast, coming after a win against Golden State, I hope. Kudos!

I would still think Ryan Anderson would be great for the starters and Jones coming off the bench would definitely be the piece to the puzzle.

Jones playing major minutes and Anderson probably 23 minutes a game
Jones 25 mpg and gradually making him finishing the 4th quarter

Plus Anderson has history with Dwight and they played well in Orlando together

One thing we definitely gained in giving away lin - turnover rate. 8th in the league right now compared to 20+ last year. Highly underrated aspect of this teams current performance. Ariza's role vs parsons lends to this as well.
