More than a handful of people in this thread say they like it and one person says he doesn't like it and that is the only comment you pay attention to? There is not a single game, movie, or television show in the world that everybody will universally agree is great. There will be more people comment in here over time that like it and I'm sure there will be others that don't. Bottom line is, you should try things for yourself. Then again, if you haven't liked any of the games since MW2 or Black Ops, maybe you should sit this one out. I happen to think it's better than MW3 and Ghosts.
This one feels a lot easier online than the previous 2 but probably because everyone is still getting used to it.
Lol, more people like this game than not. It's definitely a fun game, but I do agree that the maps need some improvement. A lot of the maps give me a Halo type feel...whereas, I wish the maps resembled the MW, MW2, Black Ops maps. I guess the reason we arent seeing those types of maps is because the jet pack changes things a bit. Levels are built more vertically than horizontally. So, if you are really into maps, then this game might not be for you. However, the movements, fluidity, and gameplay are very good. The action is intense because combat is always right in front of you. You cant go around and be strategic with your movement because at any given time, an opponent can appear out of nowhere...so in a way, I kind of miss creeping around in the old CODs and establishing strong positioning on a map...on this one, you just have to run and gun, pretty much. If you like fast paced action, you'll like this game. If you like a slower, more "campy" type feel then you might not like it. It's one of the better CODs in recent years, but I think it still falls short of MW2 and Black Ops. If they ever do make a 1990's warfare type game, I'll be all over it, haha. Overall, I like this game and I think there is a better chance that you'd enjoy it over thinking it sucks.
Woke up with the game on my dresser and don't know how it got there. The game runs smooth and you rank up quick.
So is gameplay, player movement, fluidity, mechanics, etc... What's the point of having great maps if everything else isnt there? How many games out right now or in the last couple years are perfect in every way? Fact of the matter is that even though the maps leave something to be desired, everything else is pretty on point. Im not going to not play video games because one aspect of the game isnt giving me 100% satisfaction.
This game is fun but it's hard to stay alive as you can get killed in so many directions. Im having a hard time to get more than 6 or 7 consecutive kills compared to the last cods.
Yeah, that's the frustrating part...you can get attacked in so many ways. I kind of miss the old days where maps were built in such a way that you could always have some protection. I know it led to more camping, but it also felt like you could move around the map more strategically. These last few cods have all tried to push towards a run and gun, constant action, no camping allowed philosophy...which, in many ways, makes it less fun for me. This cod is better than any of the cods from MW3 and on...but can't touch MW2 and BO.
Is Destiny better than this game? I've kind of lost interest in shooters but I was thinking about downloading this new CoD game. I know I will just get bored with it, though. I couldn't even stick with TitanFall for very long. I noticed the Walking Dead: Episode Two came out for XBO recently. I may just go with that.
Well, it's more that I suck. I'm not quick enough to be able to combat someone popping up out of nowhere. My aim sucks. In all previous cods, my k/d was only around 0.9-1.4 range. I'm just not that skilled. And in this one, I think I'm at 0.7 k/D.
http://www.kontrolfreek.com/ ^ go here, this will help. I've been using them for awhile now. (MW2 or MW3 days I believe) It takes getting used to, but it makes a huge difference. I used to use the taller sticks, now I use the CQB sticks on PS4 and XBone.
You know the drill, it boils down to preference. I picked up both Advanced Warfare and Sunset Overdrive at launch, but haven't touched either yet, because I have been having a blast with Destiny. I did install both during the Rockets game last night, so I may try to play a little bit of both this weekend. For some reason, I think people tend to take sides of specific games (and consoles), while saying the other sucks. But why can't Destiny and CoD both be good games, but games that bring something different to the table? They are not mutually exclusive. Again, full disclosure here, as I haven't actually played CoD just yet; but my guess is that CoD will probably be preferred by folks that enjoy strictly PvP multiplayer online, while Destiny (if you have friends that can make teams of 3 or 6), is a blast for PvE. Not sure if that helped actually.
The game is fun to play. But I agree with others that the series has fallen off quite a bit since MW2. MW2 was just on another level. So much fun.
