Agreed, Watt is VERY special..... people in Houston will be talking about him in 25 years about how he was the best they have seen.

Even then, that is sad.... like AJ, we are wasting his prime.

That's awesome! Oh wait, he doesn't play for the Texans now does he? My point is he's (likely) a douchebag, and yeah...Mario Williams is a ****ing douchebag.

He also "donated" a bunch of suped up Camaros to our corrupt police department about a month before he left for Buffalo. Great guy.

Seems pretty weak considering what true bad guys in the NFL have been accused of doing.

Are you really going to go there? We're talking about football right now, please shut up. You can be an *******/douchebag without beating, or murdering someone.

What does that have to do with anything? You said Clowney is just another Mario...and Mario is very good at what he does on the field.

It has everything to do with it? I'm a Texans fan, not a Bills fan. If you want to be excited about what our former #1 pick is doing for another team, that's your thing.

What did Mario help the Texans accomplish? Not a damn thing.

He was about the money from day 1, he took plays off, he got picked entirely for his athleticism, then he left us with nothing. If that's what you think is deserving of a #1 overall, well we have a difference of opinion to say the least.

What exactly is your point here?? You said "He'll end up being Mario Williams" to which the reply was, "That would be great. Mario actually showed some heart AND production while he was here." You then proceed to tell us Mario Williams is a scumbag because he donated cars to the local police department? How are the two remotely connected?

I find it ironic that you are criticizing him for being a douche while telling me to shut up because I disagree with your opinion.

I told you to shut up because you made a stupid comment, not because you disagreed. There's a distinct difference.

Heart? Not one person said dude had heart when he was here. Clearly absence makes the heart grow fonder. Production? He had one good season, last I checked. Hardly "production".

My point is he did nothing for us?

Ive said this before and I'll say it again...Would love it if BOB just IR's Clowney for the rest of the season. Let him rehab the rest of the season. He doesnt feel that his knee is right...that perfectly OK...go on IR and rehab it and be done with this nonsense for this season. Will he play/will he not play is seriously annoying and irritating. The fact that he claimed to have flu like symptoms last week...and is saying something different this week is telling itself. So far, the early reviews on Clowney's drive have been spot on. For a guy who has dominated at any level of play, bad habits creep in and the desire to get better diminishes. Tracy McGrady's career started eerily similar...just saying.

He would never survive going out for the year with a minicius tear. Not with Cushing having to battle back from a torn ACL.

    COOL BRO!!!! Keep it up!

Why is Mario even talked about around here. He is no longer a Texans. Now on this Clowney character, it don't seem like he wants to play. So sit him out the rest of the season and lets try this again next year. If he continues to get injured and don't want to play with pain. Then let him go, period.

I thought he wanted to play but the coaches decided against it.

Maybe if McNair open up his wallet for Mario he'd still be playing for the Texans. He didn't leave us with nothing, he played out his initial contract and the team didn't think he was worth more. If you don't think your #1 pick is deserving of a contract that another team is willing to give him, that's on you. I mean heck, how many QBs have the Texans overpaid?

Yeah, no it's not on me because I don't run the franchise. Good analogy though, sort of? You mean if we had offered to overpay like Buffalo did for his "services"? Mmk?

QBs are always overpaid, it's the most important position in football.

    so many ignorant posts.

this forum once contained very insightful texans posts. Now it is filled with rushes to judgement, extreme pessimism and a little touch of ebola.

so brian cushing is a hero for missing half his career and posting a few good seasons during that time, but clowney is a scumbag because he's missed a few games in his first season after flashing bigtime in pre-season.

this years crop of quarterbacks sucked both in FA and Draft, yet we are doomed because we chose an alternative strategy and opted for quarterback in subsequent years after we filled out some depth on the team.

A highly rated rookie guard is getting outplayed by a veteran and we give up on him.

We've doubled our wins from last year with largely the same team (all because coaching is significantly better) and yet O'Brien is an idiot.

Guys - these cliffs ya'll are jumping off are too high. I need a few of you to hit the ground and kill yourselves off so we can clean up the posting.

That was my understanding as well. But I guess he is now a lazy, immature bust.
