Yes he is, if he keeps this play up we will be fine. If not, we are screwed because it seems Daniels does not want any playing time and Garcia also did not show much so that's it. Also, I loved the fact that during the highlights everybody said The Jet and Kenny kept saying Jason middle name Terry, and Shaq and or Chuck at the same time said: no he's the Jet.
I have never liked Terry until now. If I could learn to like Terrell Owens on my beloved Dallas Cowboys, it is easy to learn to like Jason Terry on my beloved Rockets.
This guy's jump shot is pure and a thing of beauty. He is the best proven marksman we've had on the team in years. He makes off balance contested 3 pointers look like layups.
At first I thought all he was was a trade filler but he's proven he's worth much more. 1. He's a scoring punch off the bench who shoots the lights out. 2. He's a combo guard that can give Harden and Beverley rest by playing the 1 or the 2 3. He's shown he's not a total liability on defense. 4. He's a great team guy that is having a great influence on our young guys.
I wonder what Morey will do now before the trade deadline. Terry certainly would've been part of any trade as a salary filler. Now what? Morey must be pleasantly surprised at how well the team is gelling. No way he fixes what isn't broken.
No kidding. If Rockets fans were able to embrace the Chuckster after the heated rivalry with the Suns(and don't lie, we ALL hated Phoenix those 2 title years), why wouldn't we be able to do the same with Terry?
If Terry keeps playing like this, I would be very sad to see him traded as I think his leadership, bbiq and 3pt shooting are tremendous benefits to this team.
I'm amazed about his defense and effort actually. Another great pick up by the Great Murray. I think we should keep him around all season and let's hope he is healthy come playoff time.
It would be stupid to give Terry away right now unless it's a bonafide upgrade. Like it or not, Terry is our ONLY consistent scoring option off the bench good for at least 2 3's a game. Troy Daniels has a lot to learn from Terry and is not ready to step up just yet.
I thought with Terry, it was going to be more difficult to welcome him because, unlike with Chuck and the Suns, we kept LOSING to Dallas (regular season and that 2005 playoff series). It wasn't hard to accept Chuck because even though he was with Phoenix, we beat them both in regular season and playoffs; we matched up well with them.
What he brings to the table for this team is better than anything you see on a stat table. His leadership and mentoring is exactly what this team needs.
He's our new Mutombo, a guy you'd love to have on your team five years ago, but who is still good enough to make you grateful for having him now.
I have no animosity against Terry. Never did. He beat us a few times...it happens. I'm happy he seems to have something left in the tank. Now Fisher, on the other hand, would have forever been booed by me had he ever put on a Rockets jersey.
