Working in dfw, sports radio says an assistant coach said Clown needs either a toughness pill or a kick in the butt and he was gonna give him one of them.

Clowney tried to play in a game while skipping practice throughout the week. which he was medically cleared to participate in. He should've been playing in that colts game. He's one of those guys that just doesn't like practicing.

If that's the case, then I think it's fair to say he will never improve as a player. How can you get better if you don't want to put the work in? I wonder how much the coaching staff is leaning on Watt to try and lead the way for Clowney?

Oh come on, who doesn't want a lazy pass rusher than consistently misses games and in college took plays off?

2-14? No worries, your reward is............a lazy pass rusher than consistently misses games and in college took plays off

    Yall hoes overblowing this.

Dude has had a rash of bad luck but he will be back and prove people wrong.

OR he wont, either way we need to draft a QB so I dont really care, he is a luxury next to Watt.

If he performs great and up to his potential, then we are still lacking a QB. Our pass rush isnt the problem, with or without him

I don't think anyone is overblowing anything, this is the #1 overall pick we're talking about. There were questions about his work ethic leading into the draft. I said it before we drafted him; Mario Williams all over again.

Hopefully he'll prove me (and damn near everyone else wrong), but I highly doubt it. Yet another failed draft pick, keep'em comin.

Maybe just maybe Clowney will be enough to get Smith fired.

If he had a rash, he'd probably be out for the year.

that was funny, but then sad when I realized our 2014 tanked draft is fodder for jokes.

Considering the fact that Mario has a high chance of being in the top 20 in sacks in NFL history, that would be great.

I never liked Mario having the excuse of nagging injuries for his lacking performances, but at least he suited up. Clowney is the icing on what could be the worst draft in Texans history which after 2007 and 2013 is HARD to do.

It has gotten so bad and we are so used to it, that it almost isnt a let down.

I cannot defend the owner or front office.

Eventually it gets to the point where you just have to accept that the Texans are at best mediocre.

There is not a single facet of the the team that is above average.... not the ownership, front office, coaching, players, fan experience.... not a damn thing.

Maybe BOB will prove to be good enough to suppress Smith... but I am not counting on it.

Until then, we get to watch the legend of Clowney grow... maybe ESPN will do a 30 for 30 on him some day.

If he was Mario Williams, that would be phenomenal. Mario played through plantar fasciitis (which is painful as a *****) for this team. Clowney won't even play through the sniffles.
