If you think Stewart is in any way racist, you've been swallowing huge loads of **** spewed by pundits. Not that this would surprise me.
Racist. I'm officailly boycotting my "Chillin' on a Dirt Road" and "Love in the Country" Spotify channels to express my outrage.
If this post is serious (and I can't tell) it would actually be more racist than the original accusation.. which is kind of poetic. The thing about Twitter is that anyone can get their feelings hurt at any time over anything - and worse, they have the whole world as an audience.
Don't worry - they made up for it by sticking in Michael McDonald at the end (not that there's anything wrong with it- one of the great singers of all time). <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Y46MWezLFek" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I mean, seriously, how ******* good is this guy- and the Doobie Brothers as a whole? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gvSZtnEDQPY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well..yeah, but I don't totally blame reporters. News outlets don't exactly have the budgets they once had for news gathering. I've seen many press releases I've written published word for word and posted as news stories, which of course makes my clients perfectly happy, so no one complains. There are a lot of journalists whose only function is to rubberstamp copypasta, but it's pretty much because they are told to do that. And I've unfortunately been on the other side of that and put bylines on edited PRs that would qualify as plagiarism, 'cause the boss said I had to if I wanted to keep getting paychecks. It's also why I'm very jaded about "news" not from sources that I know don't do that.
