He really needs to rest Parker as well. The Spurs have already played 3 entire games.

I don't blame Pop...but I was excited for the test.

Spurs can't be overlooked either way.

im pissed they are resting against us.Because i dont want any exscuses if we win. But ill take another W on our record no matter how it comes. But the spurs sytem is so good, they are still a threat with their backups. I had a feeling we would lose prior to hearing about the rest , now i think we should win and pull away in the fourth likewe have been lately.

The game i really want to win is the Warrior game though. They look like the real deal now. If we beat them and do it like we have in these first 5 games , it will show us (rockets fans ) and everyone else that we on another level compared to last year.

I Hope dmo has a strong game. I would love to have him as the leader of our bench. Would mean so much. Because even though it is early, the other teams that look to be "elite'" this season (warriors, bulls, spurs ) have really good depth. Something we lack. If dmo steps up , Papa stays consistent , terry and canaan keep hitting shots. Our bench isnt that bad. it will never be what the others teams i just listed have , but it wont be a real weakness.

Spurs are still a real good team. Pop will play hard at first to see what he can do but if he makes no headway he will start resting his other players. The only thing I can see is that the Rockets started looking tired at the end of the Miami game. They have gotten some rest though and should be good to go.

I hate that TJ is not playing but be nice to get Black in there. DMo needs to finally earn his pay.

you think t-mac will be at the game tonight? it would be cool for them to show his 13 in 35 against the spurs while the crowd erupts at the sight of t-mac.

Good. The Rockets can jump out to an early lead and start resting starters.

Holy crap! I was kidding earlier in the thread about Pop leaving half his team in San Antonio. I guess going down to the wire against the Hawks forced his hand.

No excuses then, Rockets. Kick the crap out of them and make Chuck miserable in the studio having to watch a boring blowout.

I wanna see Capela play. He will prob not be to good. But we have never seen this man do anything! wanna see how he runs, jumps, moves on the court, something. Is he really that much worse than Black and DORSEY?

It is pretty sh-tty of him. I guess I understand why he's resting Manu and Duncan given their age and the minutes they had to play(especially Duncan) last night against Atlanta. And I'm pretty sure Belinelli and Splitter have legit injuries. But it still seems like an overreaction given they're a mere 3 games into the season and had plenty of rest between Games 2 and 3.

I'll bet TNT and the NBA aren't too happy considering this is the only game on between 7 and 9:30 and they can't cut away to anything else if it does turn into a Rockets rout.

As a Spurs fan, I'm kind of pissed that majority of the starters aren't playing, it's not like they're traveling far also. Spurs haven't been playing good at all this year, and was hoping they could get some rhythm after half assing last night's game. At the same time it was kind of stupid to schedule the Spurs off until Halloween and expect everyone to play the night after a back to back. I still expect a good game, if Pop lets Danny Green guard Harden instead of Kawhi who for some reason struggles against him, then I think we will have a chance.

I don't think anyone can be happy with what Pop is doing by resting his starters. These dudes have only played 3 games this season. It should be a fine to rest players. I don't care. If you can't play a full schedule (barring any injuries) then you shouldn't play for the next 5 games to make sure you're fully rested.

True. The Rockets have historically taken weaker or short-handed opponents lightly. But they've shown maturity this season in approaching each game seriously thus far and not overlooking anyone, even the Sixers.

I'm more worried about this being a Rockets home game on TNT. That seems to jinx them.
