Thought it would be nice to start a thread on Restricted Free Agents the Rockets could target. Jimmy Butler would be my choice to try to lure away with a poison pill type deal.

You are talking about next year? In the offseason? When this season is only 5 games into it?

Let's get through this season first. We have a lot of exciting basketball ahead of us. Not only that, we don't know what our salary situation will be like by next offseason. You almost have to assume that Morey will make some sort of deal at the deadline which could influence how much money we have available and whether or not we even have the possibility to chase any free agents

I've always thought that Jimmy Butler was the perfect gentleman. Not sure about his basketball acumen.

Faried got extended. I like Harris as one who we might actually pry away from his team, but only if he puts that 3 pt shot together.

Kawhi Leonard would be flippin awesome if we could somehow pry him away from San Anto. Like dude say give him a poison pill contract, do anything to get him. He is only going to get better.

Not gonna happen. The only reason he didn't get an extension is because the Spurs want cap room to go after Marc Gasol.

If be surprised if they didn't give Kawhi a max 5 year contract.

There's no poison pill we can give him. The worst we could do is put him on a short contract with a player option like Parsons but I don't see why they wouldn't match that. (Then again, I thought they would extend him so what do I know).

i say we offer mike scott the max. he's a stretch 4 and shooting a scorching hot 75% from the field, 71% from the 3pt line! thats goat potential. his free throws leave much to be desired but im sure with time and practice he can get it up to 97.4%. 75fg%, 71% from three, 97.4ft%. what more can you ask for?
