Man I swear he made like 3-4 incredible bounce passes to Howard in traffic leading to easy throw down dunks. I know it's not a big deal, but I remember the days when we had Yao and whenever T-Mac tried the same play, almost always Yao would fumble the ball away like hot potato. So, it's nice to have a big who can finish these crafty passes in the post. Props to Papanikolaou for adding the bounce touch to his sharp passing.
Wait till Papa realizes that just throwing the ball to the rim is the more effective play when feeding Dwight.
It's also hurting him... He has to understand that this isn't Greece and the speed of the players in the NBA or a helluva lot faster than in Greece.. Hopefully he will adjust and start to put a little more zip on his passes.. T_Man
I actually I notice his passes are a little off-timing. That's why even if it's crowded, the other bigs can't pick off the pass. That first time he drove into the lane then dropped it to Dwight, that pass reached Dwight's hands perfectly. I think in the Philly game, they tried lobbing it to Dwight but Noel found it easy to pick off. The bounce pass would be a little trickier to intercept for a big.
If only we could send our players to Europe in the offseason to get some of that master training on passing into the post.
Not when he draws his defender and Dwight's defender to jump to block his head fake. Then the "more effective play" is the bounce pass to Dwight. Not sure what you are talking about. Bounce pass is nearly always a better play that an alley oop, especially when you get the defenders jumping at you.
his wraparound off of the drive is really effective.. when you get dwight isolated on the weak side and his defender has to come over on the help
Not lamenting Papa's passing ability, but saying a bounce pass to a big man is the more effective play is ridiculous. Of course there are certain situations where a bounce pass is fine, but you just dont want your big man reaching down to grab a pass. How many bounce passes does Deandre Jordan get? I mean, everyone in the league knows he's getting an alley and still it's thrown. Throw it up let Dwight go and get it..
He did have that bad Celtics game where he had 6 turnovers in ~20 min, but outside of that his turnovers haven't been bad at all. He only has 9 turnovers total.
