Kobe fans making Lin the scapegoat with thread titles like "A genuine discussion about Jeremy Lin's future in the NBA"
Good thing about Lin is that he has many Linstans defending him. If Kobestans started scapegoating Boozer or Hill, that is like a one sided fight.
I didn't watch the game but was he that bad? 18 points on 8 shots in 27 minutes and only 2 turnovers sounds decent
Those 37 attempts made me have to go check bball reference. Since 85-86(as far as bball reference goes back for this stat) Jordan is the leader with 49 attempts. Kobe's 37 is tied for 46th. Kobe is littered all over the top of the FGA in a single game list though. And Harden was a ball hog...
I went to this game tonight. Yes, I'm a Lin fan but not angry at Kobe. He's a ball hog so nothing new there. I didn't see any air balls from Lin. He had a good game but was forced to sit on the bench because he had 3 fouls early in the 2nd quarter. Get your facts straight and please don't be a dip ****.
His 2 misses in the 4th quarter, one bounced off the backboard and didn't draw rim. The other barely hit the rim. Not airballs only in the most literal sense of the word. He sat for about 10 minutes between 3rd and 4th quarter when he had 3 fouls. Foul trouble was clearly not an issue no matter how you look at it. Please practice what you preach.
Which is so rich, considering they should all just be Lakers fans. I don't care what happens with CSNH, I'm renewing Ballstreams just so I can watch this LA train wreck all season.
As much as Lin is not that great of a player, though he can be very good, it's sad to watch him having to defer to Kobe. I just watched the last few minutes against the Suns and they were down 3 or 5 and Lin 'wasted' 18 seconds on trying to get Kobe the ball. Kobe just HAD to have the ball. Lin throws up a bad shot and Lakers commentators of course blaming Jeremy and he got lucky because Hill caught the rebound and dunked it with 1 sec on the clock.
See, you are not doing the Lin fans any favor by proclaiming yourself as one and then parading your ignorance. Next time, get better seats. Or get a pair of eye glasses. Or both.
Harden averages less than 17 shots a game and the rockets play at one of the highest paces in the league. In nobody's world other than LOFs, is he a ball hog. He has also had the ball in his hands more this season since he officially plays PG for a third of the game. He can be a ball stopper at times when he iso's but all championship teams need a player that can iso.
why the hell do people b**** about isolations, Yao was great but you could simple take him out of the game at times (not without effort). the one play you can't defend is the shimmy shimmy stepback midrange jumper, not many players can get that shot at an effective clip, Harden is one of them.
Harden was never ever a ball hog. It's only the stupid delusional Lin fans who spread that false notion to cover Lin's inadequacies and shortcomings as a player.
