Gallinari would be great to back up Ariza and play the many Ginobili role of basically being a 6th starter minutes wise. If only his contract didnt suck.
West is so logical it's scary. Short contract, win now veteran who can spread the floor and Indy isn't doing crap this year to need him.
Right now it's looking like we don't wanna give up Harden / Howard / Ariza / Bev / jones / Kpap / or terry We have to somehow get a veteran back up PF with what we have left. Marion or Thaddeus Young would have been great. Who else? We can't take a big contract cuz we wouldn't be including terry or Kpap, unless it fits the TPE, but very few teams have someone to offer for that
I'm thinking Brandon bass to replace dmo. Somehow dump Dmo and use the TPE for Bass. Will have to give celtics something, nothing big. I think this will be the move if we continue to play well. Don't want to mess with our top 7 rotation. And we keep the NOP pick for something else.
But he'll take his player option, which would kill Morey's treasured 2015 cap space, so there you go.
Not a trade, but not thread worthy.. Would signing Tyrus Thomas be reasonable? I read a small article on him recently. I admit I know absolutely nothing about him aside from stats. He looks like he can play D and hit a shot or two. (P.S. what is the knock on him? He has to not be in the league for a reason, but I am unsure why.)
Houston In: Udrih, Prince, Amir Johnson, Greg Stiemsma Houston Out: K-Pap, Picks, Canaan, Motie, Johnson Grizzlies In: Canaan, Hansbrough, some houston picks, Fields Grizzlies Out: udrih, Prince, Lee Raptors In: Motie, Nick Johnson, K-Pap, lee Raptors out: Johnson, Stiemsma, Fields Houston gets a great ball handler, veteran leadership on his last year of a huge contract, a great rebounder, and a solid backup center. Grizzlies get another wing threat, a backup 4, and a decent 3. Only reason why they wouldn't take it would be courtney lee. Raptors get chemistry with Motie and Jonas along with more wing players. Lee and Lowry reunite.
Why is everyone so ready to trade papanikolaou? Dude is killing it right now as a 6th man. And as much fun as it is to propose 3 team trades involving 10 players, they never happen. We need front court help, either with a starter or with depth. Recently, Zach Lowe had JVG on his podcast and they talked about the front court depth of the Bulls and how it could be a detriment if not managed correctly. I don't think there is enough minutes to play Noah, Gasol, Gibson, AND Mirotic. Somebody may have to go if guys start complaining. I think it will be either Gasol or Gibson. We could capitalize on that by sending Canaan and the Hornets 1st round pick for one of those two. We may have to send capela as well but I'm ok with that. TL;DR ----> Isiah Canaan and the NOLA pick for Taj Gibson or Pau Gasol
Terry, TJones and a 2nd for Millsap DMo for Dalembert 2nd for Shved Beverley / Shved Harden / Canaan Ariza / Papanikolaou Millsap / Papanikolaou Howard / Dalembert
Would cost more for millsap, and if Atlanta trades millsap horford is likely available also. Target him instead with Capella and the nop pick and Johnson added. I like the dalembert idea, good value but that's there only center, wouldn't mind targeting calderon though for dmo/canaan/2nd Meh on schved. Pick up adrien. Jose/bev Harden/Daniels Ariza /kpap Horford/adrien Dwight/black #Championship
