They put the team away when it mattered. Dallas a few lucky bounces for the C's and they lose this game.

yall are worrying about stuff that won't even matter by the end of the season. if and when the rockets lose 4 or 5 in a row, then you can worry about something.

also, the original quote was, I would assume, about winning the division rather than MAKING the playoffs. Again, 4 games in, playing cupcakes is so meaningless at this point as to not even matter. 4-0 is better than 0-4, but worrying about winning the division in the first week of the season is pretty ridiculous.

you don't even know if your team is going to be vying for the division at this point.

Agree. Iook at the TrailBlazers last year too; they came out with a tremendous start last season and essentially limped into the playoffs as a 5 seed. They had a terrible 2nd half to the season, but because of a good start, didn't matter.

Really glad the Rockets benefited from an easy schedule to start. It so hard gaining ground when you start at or below .500 early.

Rocket have a pretty rough stretch coming up starting with the Heat. Now, because of a 4-0 start, Rockets can go 1-2 or 2-1 in that stretch and still be good in the standings.

ITA. Dallas/Boston was definitely the more exciting game (except for the first half lol) and while the Rockets game was close thru three quarters it was never really in doubt, it is Philly after all.

Never doubted the outcome of the Rockets game, cmon its philly, my reply to Aleron was simply in him characterizing it as a blowout through 3.

Every win no matter the team counts as 1 single win.

The Spurs beat up on bad teams every year. I don't know, unless you think the Rockets will just get steamrolled by every other playoff team then these wins are pretty valuable right now.

Winning these early games against teams we should beat is key to making the playoffs, or winning the division, or getting home court. Kind of ridiculous that you don't get that, but whatever.

Parsons had a good game. Probably should have done more that just 3 rebounds and 2 assist. Looks more concerned with getting his points per game higher.

Still would take Ariza's 24/6/7 though haha

i think we all know who is going to win the division

seeding sucks this year though, you want to be high enough to avoid sas/lac, you want to be low enough to avoid okc....

"Have a shot" at the playoffs? ...

I'm all for being realistic, but let's not try the whole reverse-jinx thing this early in the season... Barring injury, the Rockets are a 100% lock for the playoffs.

I don't think it's going to be the spurs. They have played a tone of games over the last 3 years, and while I understand pop is great and we've buried the spurs before, I just don't see them being able to put a 60 win season together. I might be wrong.

The division is going to be won by either: dallas, grizzlies, rockets. Ya'll could do it this year, but it will most likely come down to injuries.

Meh, only team that would have me worried, especially with all of OKC's injury problems, is still LAC.

Regardless of how we played in last year's playoffs and the Spurs winning a championship, I still think we match up well with SA.

I'm not at all saying OKC and SAS would be a cakewalk, but there's no point in the Rockets trying to avoid them in the first round.

this is the genius of Pops though. last year when Spurs won all those games the big three were hardly playing. No one on the team played more than 30 minutes a night. That's why, when it came to the playoffs, they were fresher than everyone who had just battled through a brutal regular season.

I don't think spurs will win it this year. I mean, they're getting old, right?

    Clippers mustache power rankings:

    1) Hedo Turkoglu
    2) Spencer Hawes
    3) Blake Griffin
    4) DeAndre Jordan

    Must be Movember.

Unless Dallas can shore up their D it is coming down to Rockets and Grizzlies but for the 2nd or 3rd seed IMO.

Clippers will have more problems and are no lock for that 2nd spot

Part of the reason the Spurs take those paycuts is because it comes with minutes restrictions, Duncan's even alluded to how the reduced minutes means more years, so he let the money spread out.

But yeah as was said, no one played 30 minutes, the most was parker at 29.4 and he was given 2 weeks off near the asb to just have a holiday...

but ****, if dwight came to us in 2 years time and says i'll take 7m less for you to go get me a backup that will let me play 70x30, i'm sure daryl would happily oblige.

Clippers have the worst time against bad teams.
