I think its the same as I feel about TJones. Jones is great at what he does well, but you kind of like to have multiple looks at the 4/5. Noah is a big part of what they do but its nice to have a big who can operate in the paint a little, and of course its nice to have a big who can stretch the floor for Rose. Up to this point, Gibson really hasn't been a factor offensively, but it looks like this season he's improved alot. Gasol makes a ton of sense for them, as does Mirotic its just finding alot of time for those guys to put up stats. If they are all in on this year (which is sounds like they are) I think they are deadly this year to make a title run. However it would be nice if for some reason they feel the need to move one of them. Id be all over it.
I like Bulls as trade partners. They are stacked at PG with Rose, Kirk and Brooks although Kirk plays a lot of 2. And they have big men in Pau, Gibson, Noah and Mirotic. I don't know what it will take but I'd like the Rockets to pry away Gibson and Hinrich.
Same here, although Hinrich forgot how to shoot. I think it's criminal what they are doing to Taj Gibson. Gibson can start for us Right now.
Losing Asik was big. He played well alongside DH last playoffs from what I remember. Bird in hand is better than two in the bush.
I like them too, but I think all indications are that this is their window, and they probably don't know how many years Pau has left. I don't think they make a trade this year honestly, and with the Rockets there really isn't anything we have that makes them better this year vs. what they would be giving up. Maybe next Summer if they fall short this Spring.
Chalmers of the past 3 or so years, is basically the same player that Isiah Canaan is but with a cocky and sometimes lazy attitude. I can't think of a worse veteran PG to pick up honestly. Maybe Sebastian Telfair... I dunno.
I guarantee that Dmo isn't worthless. There is trade value there. Just think about how much time & money teams invest in worthless big men. There is a premium on 6'10+ guys. Case in point: Hasheem Thabeet's NBA career.
He hung around the top league in the world for 5 years. He was involved in trades for Shane Battier and Marcus Camby. 4 separate teams have taken a chance on him. DMo has a lot of skills that Thabeet never did. I don't think DMo is currently a capable starter. I just don't think we should undervalue our own assets.
I don't want Rondo. If you think the ball gets "sticky" with the current lineup, imagine it with Rondo at PG and Harden at SG.
there's not much to undervalue..Dmo would be easily replaceable if needed and would not be missed if he was gone.
This is pretty much the same situation as we had in the offseason. If we didn't fix it in the offseason, I don't know why we would now. It's not like any of the holes we have now is because some solution we had found in the offseason got injured or otherwise fell through. Canaan is what we expected. Black/Dorsey are we expected. Jones/D-Mo are what we expected -- actually Jones is better than I expected so far, but we'll see if he keeps it up; if he does, maybe we don't have a hole here after all.
