Teams would do it. Its just a matter of convincing one that hes worth the trouble. He's worth missing multiple games a year for borderline injuries that he should play through.

You just think back with what the Browns did with Richardson, and it makes for intriguing conversation.

Which of the horrible picks from 2013 to 2014 do you want to give him "credit" for. I mean we have zero starters from 2014 draft so what does he do exactly?

I can't believe anyone is defending this guy.

how do you seriously have the number pick after coming off a 2-14 season and have not one pick starting on the team?

The most glaring of those to me is Xavier. He was taken with the first pick in the 2nd round to fill a spot where we had an obvious need. A glaring need. How many snaps did he get today?

Disagree. The Clowney pick likely has no reflection on O'Brien. It likely even came down from McNair, the South Carolina alumn. They almost had to take Clowney, despite any other rumors. I don't think they truly wanted him, though, and I think the rumors leading up to the draft of us taking other people were there to entice the Falcons to jump up for Clowney.

    THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I don't feel bad for BOB at all.

We all knew what Clowney was before the draft: an elite talent with no passion for the game.

Yet, the Texans ignored it. I laugh, I laugh at the Clowney supporters and the Texans right now. Freaking losers.

It was EVERYBODY'S pick. Virtually every NFL expert and draft prognosticator and guru thought the Texans should take Clowney. And it's extremely likely that O'Brien, Smith, and McNair all felt the same. They might've been willing to trade the pick in order to get into position to draft a QB that wasn't worthy of #1, but I don't think there was ever any real internal debate over who they'd pick #1 if they kept the pick. To try to go back now an try to pin blame (and I'm not even sure blame even needs to be placed yet) on the person you like least while absolving responsibility from the others is pure horse ****. There's no reason to not believe that it was a unanimous decision.

    that's my point, smart man.

    these "experts" aren't really "experts".

    think for yourself, question authority.
