It really wouldn't surprise me if they did. They seem like they are antsy to get out of rebuilding phase. Example: they have Evan Turner on their team.
Bass has looked like a real solid option for our trade exception. I think Morey views Rondo = Rubio in a couple years. Both are terrible scorers and would benefit from being on a team with lots of options and a good system.
Is Smart a bust? If not why would a rebuilding trade him away for OJ Mayo? Smart looked like he had a lot of value / upside going into the draft. I really like the trade for Houston a lot just do not see Boston saying yes without receiving more in return.
Reggie Jackson is emerging as a potential Morey-esque trade target. Good player that OKC can't afford and his impending RFA status along with a low rookie contract would allow the Rockets to trade for him and still be able to spend money in free agency.
Came here to see if anyone had mentioned Henson. I think he'd be great behind Dwight. What it would take to get him, I have no idea...
Reggie Jackson is a morey target but we don't have anything OKC would want. I doubt they're that interested in prospects and picks now like they were back when they traded Harden. They want contributors.
They always wanted contributors, but Warriors & Wizards refused to give up Klay Thompson and Brad Beal respectively for Harden. Now the Warriors are paying Klay $2m more a year to spot up
I think that OKC-to-Houston pipeline dried up pretty quick given what happened to their last trade with us.
Still a bit early, but also fair to say that Klay for Harden isn't as obvious a no brainer should have done it anymore. I still prefer James, and think he's clearly the better offensive option, either as a score or playmaker. But Klay has improved vastly in that department. Still mostly catch and shoots, but they are starting to go to him offensively in different ways. Klay is a better defender, though. Meaningfully until James proves otherwise.
Klay for Harden or Love is a definite no brainer. Klay is a 3&D player. He's one of the best 3&D players, but he is a 3&D player. Everyone is fawning over that shot from last night but he got the ball taken away from him by Steve Blake a few possessions back while trying to post it up (it may have been the previous Warriors possession, I forget).
Dorsey for Chuck Hayes on December 15th, using the Lin trade exception. Allows us to pick up a larger salary ($6 million, expiring) we can flip 60 days later (right before the February 19th trade deadline) along with Terry and the NOP should a good player come available. Also clears Dorsey's salary for next year off the books. Who knows, Toronto might even throw in a second round pick as a sweetener.
I cant see Terry being moved .... Looks to me that he will be an integral part of the rotation this season. Now if his performance declines significantly ..... all bets are off. I could see Dorsey being moved in a simultaneous trade using the Lin TPE .... Just don't know who else would be moved or who the target would be.
