Looks pretty good, but the last was a bit meh. Not sure any entry in the series is gonna reach Fast Five level for me. One of the best action movies in years.
It will be interesting to see if it turns out better than "Game of Death" where they had stand-ins for Bruce Lee after he died...or we're just supposed to not focus so much and go with it. Gosh that "Game of Death" was terribly put together...except for the epic fight scenes at the end really...which were already done when he died. I remember I like that movie when I was a kid but after having watched it again at an older age...the differences were obvious where some of it felt totally unwatchable.
Still bummed about Walker's death, so unnecessary and avoidable. I hope they don't kill off the character, though. Just hire a similar looking actor for future films.
With Walker out and Diesel getting older, they're going to need to introduce a younger star in the next one, IMO.
That shot of The Rock in the middle of the street with the gigantic ****ing chaingun was all I needed to see. Just take my money now.
Wasn't shown in the trailer, but when I went to imdb to check the cutie replacing Gal Gadot, I saw that Spoiler the protangonist from tokyo drift was also in the cast. Tagging it since it might be important, might be nothing.
I think Diesel and the Rock can carry action movies for another decade but I also think the younger cast from Tokyo drift is in this one, since it's after Han's death
Man....please just stop.........it is the reason Vin Diesel is still around. I will never forgive them for that.
As long as they keep making money, they will keep making F&F. It's literally Vin's only hit series, so I'm sure he wants to keep them going, and the remaining stars probably feel the same way. They're just going to have to hire another actor to play Walker's character, and I'm perfectly OK with that.
Except Vin has proven in less popular roles that he can act, but he makes his money in action, and that's that. I don't blame him for going where the ticket sales are.
