He is kinda like the offensive version of Bledsoe. Bledsoe is great defensively and a over average offensively. And Jackson is great offensively and slightly above average defensively. I think he can be a slightly above average starting point guard. In the realm of Conley, a tier below the superstar point guards
I can totally see this happening, KD is from Texas and Harden is one of his best buds while Spurs will be even older in 2017 and Dallas only has Parsons as the building block (lol!). The Rox will have capspace in 2016 and maybe they can to Ariza what they wanted to do to Parsons and keep him while adding KD. KD can then play PF as a souped up billionaire version of Rashard Lewis so we can have a starting 5 of DH/KD/Ariza/Harden/Bev. That would be insane and actually sounds a bit realistic, which is even more insane.
It's not Presti's fault the owners are not willing to go over the tax to keep their players. This will be a dormant franchise for the next decade when westbrook and durant leaves.
Is he really good enough? I've watched him quite a bit and I think he's solid, and he's definitely had a few flashes, but overall he's pretty inconsistent and just not THAT good. It's not like he's super young either, he's not even a full year younger than Harden. I don't know.....I wouldn't want to be the team that gives him a huge contract.
RJ is actually a below-average defender. Sometimes he's atrocious. Defense has never been a priority for him. No doubt he CAN be an above-average starting PG. We'll see next year. I believe RJ may have delusions of being as good as Harden. He has nearly all of Harden's negatives but isn't nearly as talented a player. Can be very frustrating to watch day to day. Sometimes he completely disappears. AirBud#10, you are dead on. The more you watch RJ, the more obvious his limitations are.
The Thunder are pretty much ****ed if they do, and ****ed if they don't, in this situation. Just like the Rockets with Parsons, you don't want to lose a solid player for nothing, but you definitely don't want to pay a solid player a great player's salary.
Wouldn't mind him on this team, when Westbrook was out with injuries he put up some respectable numbers when he was starting at PG. I can see Morey throwing him a 6-8 million offer if he knew he wasn't in play for Durant. Jackson can definitely play off the ball and he has decent size to play PG. I'm sure someone out there will overpay for his services, you only need to find that one team..

I don't think Reggie woukd be a better fit than Beverley. Sometimes it's not about talent, it's about fit.
