I was in Boston for the opener vs. the nets, can confirm Rondo looked great. Also, Marcus Smaaaaaht is the real deal and Evan turner has terrible shot selection. We should keep an eye on Garnet next year, if he sticks around.

I recently acquired 2 sources with direct contact. Like direct. Anyway.... I asked them if we should expect a Halloween treat and they both said no. They expect Rubio to be traded later in the season at this point. Rondo as well. Maybe we pull a pg at the trade deadline but the NO pick may lose some luster and stop that.

I just know that we assume that the talent of Ariza/Howard/Harden/Bev is enough to support Jones/Motiejunas/Terry in a competitive western conference. That Canaan and Pap dog will develop alongside of them (that may actually happen). Definitely a lot of skepticism as to trade during the season. We will just sit and wait for a FA.

Amel,... That really is not correct. The fact is that these two people are being misled. Not with any sort of malice but they obviously know someone (maybe working in ticket sales) who may hear things. But when your source is so overzealous and then you are overzealous it just looks bad. These guys have been saying this since the day or so after Bosh screwed us.

The league is wise to Morey and the thought is that FA next year is the most likely thing.

 

Quiet this week. Last news I had was we were pursuing deal with Toronto. Hayes and Amir were the 2 names I was told. Wasn't told what Rockets involved. But that was over a week ago. Nothing happened. Haven't heard anything since roster cuts.

Personally, I think if Rubio isn't here by tomorrow that the odds shift from him being traded here to Rondo the more likely target.
