Good observation, I'd attribute that to his bball IQ.

Casspi only looked good when he was shooting hot. Once his shot stopped falling, he turned into Trashpi. KPap makes people excited even when shooting cold. Huge difference there IMO.

The 3's were nice. Hope he can at least stay over 37%. but the shot will come and go.

What is really impressive is that he already has 8 dimes in 42 minutes. Guy just has great court awareness, always makes the extra pass to turn a decent shot into a great shot.

His ball handling is quite decent too, which is another plus point. I was pleased to see him shoot well.

Hopefully his 3pt shots become consistent, not like another Casspi

Impressive play by Papa - if he can be consistent he can be an excellent 6th man! That is something we will truly need -

K-Papa played really good last night, it appeared he was able to get the "1st game jitters" out of his system and his play on the court proved it. If he can avg between 12-15 ppg, that will be really good for our bench scoring.

THIS...is why K-Papa will be huge for us going forward, because he is able to contribute in more ways than just shooting alone. If his shot's not falling, he has already shown to be a willing passer and get teammates involved and sets them up for some good shots.

This is an upgraded team over last year.

The three players that played substantial minutes that I liked least are no longer here. Parson, Lin, Asik.

I could not stand when Parsons tried to do too much. He was a good role player...Not a third wheel. He wants to be. Lin is a third pg caliber player. A spot duty kind of guy. Asik...didn't like his stone hands, but his defense was great. Had he not been pouting it would have been something different.

Hopefully Black or Dorsey step up.

but Terry being the first guard off the bench is an upgrade over Lin. I think even Canaan will eventually be an upgrade. Ariza + Kpap is better than Parsons. That's not even close.

He plays like a vet already. Even without the threes, those are some nice plays.

his defense is impressive - he is still new and a rookie so he wont get the benefit of the doubt from the refs

his passes though - the pass to Black for the dunk and the pass to DMo for a layup when he was wide open for a 3 on a night where he was feeling it. Just that sort of understanding and vision is very impressive. I know he isnt a typical rookie but the pass to DMo was just the most shocking thing I have seen in a while - i mean its the type of the thing Spurs do - pass up a good shot for a great shot.

Very smooth and smart player. He knew what mistakes he made and made up for them by hitting open shots and passing for better ones.

Papa absolutely brings a different element to this team.

Smart player. Can't have enough of them.
