But at least they're someone else's problem now. Asik is the only departing player I'm going to miss, but he forced his way off the team, so I understand why he's gone.

Lin doesn't have the guts to do it, but it would be hilarious if Lin iso'd Kobe and just call for P&R plays for himself. I'd definitely listen to that post-game press conference.

LOH is the personification of why we hate the LOFs .
These unoriginal bunch of insecure dorks can't come up with any basketball arguments so they take the Lof term which correctly describes them and come up such a stupid term. Like when kindergarten kids make up words.
The yao fans and tmac fans at least tried to use some once of intelligence in defending their point of view.

You watch a Lakers game to hate on Lin? That's just beyond sad.

I'm assuming he meant yesterday as in Tuesday. You know, the day the Rockets played the Lakers.

I liked Lin, and his arrival brought in here a fair number of good new fans, but man, the bad ones came in masses and just flooded the boards the last couple of years. It was so unbearable that I stopped reading GARM for the most part. Supposedly the blow-back was just as bad and then there became some sort of equilibrium, but I mentally checked out before those things took place. It's gonna be nuts over in Lakers land bc they have tons of Kobe nut-huggers who think he does no wrong.

Anyhow, from my perspective, it's not really liking that he's played poorly, but just getting some satisfaction seeing the frustration of LOFs because of the irritation that those masses caused this board. Weren't you around when it happened here? I mean, the board had already devolved a bit from rational basketball discussion due to its growth (which is a necessary evil), but it went into crazy land after Lin. Those crazies will never be swayed, but I do take some pleasure in their misery.

I hope both Lin &, to a lesser extent, Asik do well (except when they play us of course)...but Lin won't succeed unless he can do 'Lin things', drive to the basket, lob passes & drive'n'dish.

If LOF tough the had it bad playing next to Harden, now he's got it 20x worse playing next to Kobe, who will rarely pass him the ball (unless the shot clock is about to expire), & playing on a Lakers team with more questions than answers.

Carlos Boozer looks like he smoked crack in the off-season...damn he's skinny now!

That being said, I wouldn't mind Ed Davis coming off our bench.

What if, Lillard never made that shot? Lin/Parson would still be on the roster? If someone is to blame, blame Lillard?

Another awful game for Lin. Kobe is going to have his head mounted above his fire place by the end of the week

Some LOFs were so bad, they got banned, so there was some selective bias, which made you think the LOFs posts were more balanced.

My problem with some LOFs was that they were actually haters: McHale haters, Beverley haters, Harden haters, Worrell/Bull/Clyde haters, J.Feigan haters... Some were really overboard.

I myself liked Lin a lot, but the documentary completely soured me on him. After watching it, I now think the guy is a media-w**** and generally not good presence on a basketball team. All the humbleness is a front, he's a major diva.

Looks like the Lakers are tanking to get that first draft and they are on there way to getting it.

I'll admit it, I don't want anyone we just traded or let go to have a good season. I want the Rockets to come out of this supposed "bad offseason" smelling like roses.

I'm just a Rockets Only Fan.

Lin Fans may not realize this because they have too low of a basketball IQ and know-how just like Lin but fact is Rockets was almost the perfect situation for him.
I doubt he ever gets a more ideal situation in his career.

Let's all agree that he will NEVER be the first option on any team worth its weight.

Rockets employed a fast paced system. Strong emphasis on spacing, stretch 4's, run n gun and fast transition breaks really suits Lin's game. He was also given the keys as 2nd creator on the team and primary creator off the bench. Lin has poor handles, mentally weak, low IQ etc to ever succeed in any other system let alone a slow paced half court system that the Lakers employ.

Lin is what he is. Rockets saw that and made a decision that is best for the Rockets and Lin himself. Lin was not marginalized by racist Clutch or racist McHale or racist Morey or racist Harden or Bev etc like the LOF's would like to claim.

They don't need to tank. Their roster is terrible.

How do you figure that? If their pick falls between 1-5 they lose it to Phoenix. And picks 1-15 are protected by Houston.. LOL

I'm not even sure what "Lin Only Hater" means. I'm pretty sure nobody is watching entire basketball games just because they hate Lin with no other interest in the game. On the other hand there are plenty of LFH, or Lin Fan Haters out there. They are happy to have examples of Lin playing poorly to provide as proof to Lin fans that he isn't a future super star who is just being held back by everyone around him.

Many Lin fans want to believe that Lin is getting some sort of special treatment when people criticize his poor play, but they seem to ignore that fans tear down players of EVERY race when they play poorly. It's just that most of those players who have regular stretches of poor play don't have fans claiming that they are really all stars who are being held back by someone else.
