But is it not a good sign that we are taking care of business?

Im telling yall today, the Rockets and their play this season will turn a lot of heads. This looks like a different team. The smoothness of the bench isnt quite there, but Ariza's relatively smooth transition to the starting lineup makes us a really scary team. They will be forced to talk about our boys more so during the course of the season. Guaranteed.

Kobe looks pretty damn good. His team just sucks. No spacing for him to operate.

What I want Harden to do is check Kobe more often. He doesn't have to defend the best offensive player every game, but it's the mentality.

Lakers aren't getting anywhere this season, but the "no shooting 3s" philosophy is gonna be the death of them.

Are you people fricken fans our not? Instead of enjoying the first game of the NBA season watching Harden going off, I see half the posts on here complaining about how the Rockets aren't playing well, should be a blowout etc.

    Enjoy the damn game..

I don't care how terrible they are, nothing makes me happier than dominating the Fakers

Rockets looking pretty good, but, really, the Lakers are awful. They clearly look worse than last year. Howard commits a lot of stupid fouls, and his foul shooting gets on my nerves.

Byron Scott is an idiot. The Lakers' roster lack talent and he's not helping. When you are the underdog, playing conservative is exactly the wrong thing to do. Take chances, fire away from the 3 point line. Maybe you miss a ton an get totally blown out, but you might get lucky and win. Going conservative only guarantees your chances for losing.

Remember Lakers vs. Rockets in 2009 playoffs? Houston lost Yao Ming and was undermanned. So they fired away from 3 and managed to take the series to 7 games. Get aggressive, not shoot midrange Js.

Also, why not play Ed Davis and Julius Randle more? They at least have the athleticism to somewhat hang with HOU's frontline.

its a very good sign, but we don't want to get used to being able to do what we're doing against the lakers, against better teams.

Almost like being in high school scrimmaging against JV teams, and then finally having to play against other varsity teams.

He'll probably be more of a second-half player unless he shows more strides in other areas of the game aside from shooting. If his ball handing were to improve he'd get more minutes as well.
