That is a good season by the standards he has set for himself so far in his career. Those would be good numbers for him. Something like 18 ppg would be outstanding by his standards. Probably won't happen unless somebody important goes down. Only so many shots to go around.

Parsons contract is just 2 years. No 6 years maxed out. Get over it.

I think his athleticism is overrated as well. At one point they were comparing his hops to chase budinger... CHASE BUDINGER!

There is a 16 million dollar player option for year 3, so it is essentially a 3 year deal.

Year 3 is a player option. And if he isn't playing well, he will pick that up.

3 years. Rockets offered him 2 year max though.

Yeah he's not that athletic, but he certainly very quick for his size and has enough hops to dunk and block shots, and he's a really good finisher at the rim. He's certainly a starter on most teams though.

I just think a lot of his game has been overrated, especially his ballhandling skills. Not many Rocket fans wanted to see Parsons handling the ball late in the 4th, yet somehow this notion spread that he was some kind of point forward.

If this trend of him not seeing the ball much continues, it'll be because Rick doesn't think too highly of his handles either.

Carlisle is going to learn real fast the Parsons cannot beat anyone off the dribble. It is just a fact.

He's not even important in their offense for this game. I'm sure it's going to change in other games.

    Lol

As a Parsons fan, it hurts to see him play like this and be used like this. But I knew the Mavs overpaid for him and knew he wasn't going to be a good fit.

But to already be knee jerking like this is just ridiculous. It's only the first game and unlike McHale, Carlisle can actually figure things out.

    Not worth the contract.

    Dallas regrets it?
    He's gonna get traded?
    He's gonna get cut?
He's not gonna see the deal through?
He's hurting their cap? Is he?

2 year deal (with a 3rd year player option).

Ohhh, he's a $8-10 million dollar player getting paid like a star but not producing like a star. That's it, right?

It's fine. He's fine. They'll be fine. 'Lotta overreaction. :)

As bad as Parsons has been, he deserves to come back in with the way Jefferson has been playing

He can't create more shots to go around unless they player faster. And Dirk cannot play faster. I'm sure Parsons will be Parsons, but the dude is not worth the money he is being paid and the Mavs are way way overrated.

When I read other nba forums no other one compares to this. The hating, hypocrisy, the stalking. No one talks as much **** as us. Our players it's ok, but players that don't even play for us. Sounds like a bunch of drunk tailgate fans.
