You can put whatever label you like to that, but that is what you believe that Islam is inherently violent. You asked me to show you where you stated that, and I SHOWED you. And now you move the goal posts by saying that isn't prejudice.
Just keep telling yourself that you SHOWED anyone anything. All you are looking for is some kind of attention. We all know it, New Yorker. And we DO feel sorry for you.
How did religion become such a taboo to criticism? I think Islam is inherently not compatible with secular morality when interpreted literally. Does that make me a bigot? According to people like Ben Affleck and Sweet Lou it does.
They should read the open letter by the girl from Pakistan. Of course, New Yorker will not address her points because he doesn't really care. Not even his outrage and his white knight act are genuine.
Whatever. I know I won when you resort to the whole "Attention/NewYoker" thing. You beat that horse for 7 years and everyone on this BBS has moved on it except for you and your racist friends.
Oh come on.... a "Christian" and a "NewYorker" know more about Islam than someone that grew up a Muslim... what were you thinking? Also, I do not see how anyone can argue that a literal interpretation of Islam is not compatable with a secular, humanist culture 1500 years later. If Islam is to survive, it will ultimately have to become more secular.
These are the statements that make you wonder what planet you live on, as if Islam is the only religion on earth. Let's show you how ridiculous your statement is: I do not see how anyone can argue that a literal interpretation of Christianity is not compatible with a secular, humanist culture 1500 years later. Both the Bible and Koran, if translated literally - are freaking weird guides to living.
I agree to a certain extent but there is one key difference. Who is the most important figure in Christianity and who every Christian looks up to? Jesus - a glorified hippie Who is the most important figure in Islam and who Evey Muslim looks up to? Mohammed - a sex addict war lord.
I never understood how suicide is a mortal sin in Catholicism and I guess not allowed in Islam, but martyrdom is a path to paradise.
Moses was a pretty violent man himself. The history of these people are not what is relevant. Their human lives have been storied by their practitioners into some idealized life anyway. Islam portray Muhammed not a sex addict warlord, but a guy who defended his people when necessary and stood on the side of right. That's what matters. It's a religion for heaven's sake. The fact is Christianity was just as violent and backward in its past. It reformed. So can Islam.
New Yorker cannot answer that. He just wants attention. He is probably posting on three other message boards, taking completely different positions on everything. That's what being forever alone does to people .
This gets to the very heart of the issue for me. Religion shouldn't be respected. Any religion that forces women to cover up their faces should be rejected, period. I dislike all religion. Islam rates at the bottom of the list for me, though. I am one liberal not afraid to admit that.
Yes.... and Moses (not even a Christian) is the central figure in Christianity and set the path for all future Christians? No..... At this point.... just give up.... it is getting to the point where you just look foolish building strawmen and then babbling nonsense.
Well when you resort to these types of personal attack you realize that I don't look foolish at all - but you do come across as a childish dick? I mean, what's up with the insult mania going on here. Aren't we all men here. You and ATW have some weird lingering anger with me - just let it go already!
They are not all the same. Also, I have no anger with you. You are taking yourself too seriously. As I said before, I don't care about you or anything you say. Nobody here takes you seriously. You have zero credibility. You are obviously an attention-starved child.
